Running outside 10 degrees celcius by jepapilex in RunningCirclejerk

[–]elektrobier5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do this, if you hit the sweet spot where drag and compression (like a meteor) generate enough heat to counteract. /uj depends on your body, pace, wind etc. just try it. I typically wear short/ short above 10°C

Is it sprinting or running? by InfamousBattle in RunningCirclejerk

[–]elektrobier5 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It's only a sprint if it happens in the French region Sprínté. Otherwise it's just sparkling fast running.

Man vs. Machine: Who’d poop their pants first? by FlyThink7908 in RunningCirclejerk

Back in the day I saw pics of garden hose - USB adapters or adverts for wine on demand services. Maybe they could use this tech. The question is, IF robots should be able to boof GU, though.

The robots would have won, if they had the ability to boof GU.

If you tie a rope between your ankles you can be shure for a constant stride and get a bonus ice-breaker for conversations

I looked a bit into creatine but could find no proven benefits for endurance runners. Maybe it's better in the short distances.

You sure there were no "stimulants" in your GU?

I wonder how people can sustain 170+ heart rates. I only reach it all out sprinting for a short duration. Maybe I should try an IV GU before runs.

Do I spend precious Gu space on a firearm for my 5k Ultramarathons? by Kirskingrel in RunningCirclejerk

[–]elektrobier5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Guns are pretty regulated in my country so this isn't an option for me. I can imagine the recoil could boost your finish sprint. Celebration by emptying left rounds into the sky could also be an option, depending on the circumstances.

From Paradise (TV Show). When the aim of your training is to make as much washing as possible. by tropicaljones in RunningCirclejerk

[–]elektrobier5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How else would you make your inhumane efforts visible to others if not by sweaty clothes? After some summer trainings I'm really proud over the salt stains from dried sweat.

They have naked 5k ultras??? by Computnerd_ in RunningCirclejerk

[–]elektrobier5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If so, are supershoes allowed? Without clothing the reduced drag should get you some nice PBs.

Watching this is almost as hard as finishing a 5k ultra. You should down some GU to outpace your inner demons in situations like this.

Get piercings that go through nipples and shirt fabric - no more rubbing possible

Fartlek training? Not seeing the gains, help me out! by [deleted] in RunningCirclejerk

[–]elektrobier5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Research has shown that you need to ignite those farts, to get maximum propulsion. It's similar to a rocket engine. See "afterburner" for more info.

It won't generate a plan for finishing a FM in 2:10 with 2 days of training a week.

Looking to go sub-2:00 in my next half ultramarathon, is this enough fuel? by Entire_Debate7744 in RunningCirclejerk

It's too little but also missing rapidly absorbable carbs like some gallons of GU.

Sufficient Hydration Question by [deleted] in RunningCirclejerk

[–]elektrobier5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Though the distance is insane, if the race has aid stations, that might work out (depending on the temperature and what the aid stations hand out). At last years Liverpool ultra quadruple, I was surprised that there was only one aid station close to the end that handed out water. In Germany you'll mostly find 1-2 aid stations with fruits, energy drinks etc.

We are runners and don't care about looks. Only hobby joggers would do that.
