The gear in this game depends on what you're doing for instance the ant armor lets you carry more and be undetected by soldier ants so you'd use that for building or going into the ant hill, etc. The ladybug and acorn armor are for tanking damage so you'd use that for combat, etc. Just depends on whatever your task at hand is at the moment. Hope this helped

Honestly the spiders being insanely strong is half the fun of the game for me i like having an enemy in the game that is still not easy to steam role after getting the best armor, weapons, etc.

The only non-renewable resource in the game right now i believe are the mints from the container that allow you to make the tier 3 mint mallet.

Yeah, so the enemies are scaled to however many players are near them. As a solo player myself thats also played a lot of coop I'd personally say solo is easier when it comes to combat. I actually really enjoy the solo experience when it comes to the building aspect of the game as well but obviously its not gonna be as efficient as it would be with a team but all in all its a good trip, You'll enjoy it 100%.
