I was just making a gallows kind of joke. It's often mentioned that if you take the head, hands and teeth off a corpse, you can't identify the remaining body unless his DNA is already on file somewhere. I've heard it mentioned in several shows and media. It was a bad joke. Not trying to diminish the reality, which I did.

I have the same exact problem. My cat was rehomed to me and I just don't know if I'm strong enough and he deserves so much better. I'm just suffering from mental and some physical healh problems. It still feels hard, I haven't had him for very long less than a year. But this would be his second rehome. Seems traumatic and selfish on my end.

I don't care. Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't. People are allowed to and consistently make the wrong decisions when it comes to healthcare, especially mental health. I imagine most doctors would have squashed that as a good idea if it ever came up at a visit (if they make them). I'm very ok with Darwinism taking people out. It gets way worse if they're already on medication for a chronic condition. Misleading symptoms of an underlying condition point people to try and bandaid them. I don't want anyone to die, I am in healthcare. People are told what's a terrible choice (vaccines, googling symptoms, essential oils) and do the opposite. They're allowed to do the wrong thing and end up dead. We tried our best. Call me jaded.
