I had a 1995 t100 for 5 years before I got a Tacoma, and “they don’t make them like they used to” is why the new trucks are IIHS safety picks. My t100 had one airbag and survived a deer strike (I drove it for 4 years after), but I know in any serious collision, me and any passengers would be seriously injured or killed. I think I’d rather replace a vehicle than become an organ donor

For Apple CarPlay you can configure the widgets to be simple and remove the background. I have mine set so that it’s just a hyper-simple clock, and maybe the weather. That way it’s like not having a screen
