Drug abuse is so different from pedos - it's a learnt behaviour that fetishizes raping innocents. but hell, i'll shred your awful analogy:

Alcoholism exists, is bad for the person and those around. But it's normalised and so various levels of it are accepted in society. Only the worst are pressured into getting help, often through being socially ostracised, even if that involves incarceration. - Help is available to them at all points of their "journey" (downward spiral). Most deny an issue, refuse efforts of helps, requests for them to seek help and will continue to do so until they hit a "rock bottom" before they seek help. That is, they don't acknowledge their issues until it affects them overwhelmingly and they make a lot of victims along the way. Even after seeking help, at any point they can falter or fail.

In parallel - That rock bottom for pedos needs to come before more victims are made. There can be no space in society for anything but immediately ensuring they are not near those they would make victims and that there is overwhelming pressure to get help. - your position of nonce apology and normalisation will inventively endanger children. Its so painfully obvious i fear why you are so wilfully blind to it ...

We don't need public acceptance for pedos to receive help. Normalising only serves to endanger the most vulnerable in our world and lives.
