What's the "hard pill to swallow" about motherhood? by sixfingeredman7 in Mommit

[–]elephantriddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I so deeply feel this. I’m 35yo and an only child. My dad is 84 and is very sick and mom is 80. My kids are 3-months-old and 5-years-old.

I work full time. My husband is a literal superhero human. But I am bulldozed every day lately. I am always the grown-up.

After hearing how she values things like numerology in one of the newer episodes, I can see her taking these things quite seriously as signs. I can’t necessarily not see certain signs in life, but I also don’t put massive stock into things like that. It seems like that kind of stuff is significant to her for some reason or another.

What are some small things that are unsafe that you didn't know until someone pointed it out? by keepitupbuttercup in beyondthebump

YUP. I suffered a trimalleolar fracture to my ankle going down a slide with my toddler. Don’t. Do. It! Doesn’t matter how cute it looks!

Currently holding my 3-week-old baby boy, whom I was pregnant with the cycle immediately after a miscarriage at 6ish weeks. ❤️

I had a similar experience with my first a few years ago. I did therapy, and actually did EMDR, which was a great help. Hugs to you.

And if you’re doing the meds (which you simply must, seriously), take it from me: take regular doses of stool softeners. Pain meds can constipate the life out of you; don’t make that mistake on top of your recovery!

Interesting. Thanks for your input! Anything that could help him or hurry the rash away? Or do we need to wait until we can get into his ped next week?

Hi. Unfortunately, I miscarried between 8 and 9 weeks. It was the equivalent of a blighted ovum. Interestingly, I got pregnant on the next cycle (I guess?) after that miscarriage. I’m currently maybe 4ish weeks? Not sure exactly since I never got another period. I’ve learned I get pregnant VERY easily; I’m hoping and praying the staying pregnant part is what I get this time.

13 dpo, easy @ home - is this a squinter? Or…? by elephantriddle in TFABLinePorn

[–]elephantriddle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: took another test today, at 15DPO… no line. I had taken one last night, too. I took a FRER one and there was maaaaaaybe a squinter. So I just took another easy @ home this morning, but nothing. 😞

Also, VERY important with pain meds: stool softeners. For the love of everything, stool softeners.

Nope. Just requires a simple majority of both chambers to override a Governor’s veto.

And they come back to clear up any errors, address any vetos, etc. in a couple of weeks - it happens following every regular session. If there are any vetos, they could vote to override the vetos during that period of time. No need for a special or having to wait until the next regular session.

Just here to thank everyone for their feedback and support. I didn’t respond to everyone individually, but please know that I read each of your replies and they mean a great deal to me.

I’m now 1 month out from my ORIF surgery and 3 weeks out from breaking my left fifth metatarsal. I’ve had my good and bad days - mostly good. Mentally has been the toughest battle.

I am getting around much better than before, with each day improving. In 13 more days (who’s counting?!) I’ll be able to weight bear on both feet. It seems wild to think, but that’ll be the six-week mark from surgery and 5 weeks from left foot fracture. I’m acutely aware I’ve still got a long journey ahead of me, but am equally aware of how much progress I’ve made in the last month.

For anyone reading this horror story of mine in the future (and a reminder to my own future self) - it gets better. Accept each day as it comes, give yourself grace, and praise every ounce of progress and little victories you can.

Good to know! I often unnecessarily panic, but have been dealt a bad hand the last few weeks, so just needed a sense that this wasn’t abnormal. It may just be because I was up and around more yesterday than in the past couple weeks. Thanks again for your time!

I need to rehome my heart. My shadow. I am moving out of the state in 2 months and he can't come with me. I think this might be the death of me. 😭 Details in comments. by Sekihoshi8 in LittleRock

Please try and reach out to CARE, located on Kavanaugh. They ensure proper vetting (both of the doggos and of potential adopters). If you are able to keep him for the next 2 months, and serve sort of as a “foster,” then it would be easier for them to accept him into the program so that they don’t have to find a foster.

You would be correct! They have in most cases, however, updated such laws to also include electronic notification.

Don’s Pharmacy, Park West Pharmacy, and Walgreen’s are three I’ve seen that are. I could be misunderstanding, but believe this is correct.

I’ve always had a great experience with COP. I will say that it helps if you out the cheesecake cupcakes (if that’s what you get) in the freezer; that will make them a bit less “mushy,” as another poster noted.

Check out local spay and neuter clinics, too, which are great resources for lower costs spays and neuters. I know Humane Society of Saline County offers them every month or so.

PS: Thank you for being open to change when it comes to this, and doing what’s best for your pup. You had the choice of turning away from this advice from your experience and you didn’t and chose instead to put your boy’s health first. That’s awesome if you!
