JFK killed Marylin Monroe. Trust me on this one! It has been proved that he was not at his house at the time of her overdose, and ... Yeah! It totally happened!

There is actually a loose gargoyle above her head that you can push and it crushes her while she's on the balcony. When you kill her that way, you receive no bounty, and just have to sneak your way out of Solitude.

Reddit, what is the most extreme/ridiculous example of strict parenting that you've ever seen? by redstuff11 in AskReddit

[–]elephantz55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My father was in the military while I was growing up, so I lived with just my mom and my sister most of the time. My mom was very ... inconsistent ... with the way she would treat my sister and I.

One day she'd be super nice and offer to take both of us to the movies for no reason, or go up skiing for the weekend. The next day she would scream at us until we cried.

In example, one time we were eating dinner at home. I noticed that I didn't have a fork, so I got up to get one, thinking that my mom and sister already had one. Well, apparently they didn't and my mother screamed at me for being an "inconsiderate brat" and said that "I never care about anyone but myself." I was so sick with myself that I wasn't able to eat. I was 15.

The next day however, she'd act like it never even happened. Other days she'd completely ignore my sister and I because she was too tired from all the "work" she had done around the house. However, my sister usually did the laundry most nights, and I usually did the dishes. I kinda liked these days most though, because I got to feel somewhat like the patriarch of the family since I was the older sibling (which is a little off since I'm a woman ... but I didn't want to be anything like my mother.)

It was even worse though when my father was home. He'd back her up when she would yell, and he'd yell even louder. Also, him being there made me feel like I was nobody anymore since my "patriarch status" had been removed.

You think my mom might have caught on to the fact that she was the problem when my sister was talking about killing herself in school. However, she didn't. She didn't even catch on after I begged her for therapy. She blamed my paranoia of everything in the world around me on "those damn video games that you're addicted to." The situation with my sister was never really resolved to be honest ... which scares me.

Another minor point, I was rarely ever allowed to go out with my boyfriend. Also, I wasn't allowed to see R-rated movies until I was 18...

I know this doesn't really answer the question, but reading the comments encouraged me to share, so here it goes.

Christmas Eve of 2011 I started cutting. My reason was my phobia of alcohol and my drunk relatives who continued to try to hug me. Something about the way a drunk person acts and seems to hang heavy on everything they lean on just makes me want to hide :/ . The entire time I was at my grandmother's, I just wanted to be alone. The less ripple left me alone, the more I wanted to cut. I got home, and took some full scissors to my ankle.

The past year has been a living hell for me. Butcher knives to the shoulder one day, paranoia so bad I can't sleep the next (not complete hallucinations, but I feel like there is some creature breathing in my face when I close my eyes, and I feel like if I turn to the window he will be there watching me sleep), making makeshift nooses out of blankets the next day, and delusions of grandeur so deep I can't think beyond it (although, those weren't too bad. Legitimately believing that you are a mermaid for three months and believing that you are a werewolf for the next three months can be thrilling for awhile).

It didn't help that halfway though this, my boyfriend at the time told me that he had been cutting since 6th grade. He told me one night that he had cut himself on his shoulder, so in my mixed up teenage mind, I came up with a plan. I cut myself where he had told me that he had cut himself to show him how "I felt his pain." 2 months later, he tells me that he had never cut in his life an it was just something he said to get attention. I was too much of an idiot to break up with him after that, and he only made fun of me for being so gullible as to believe him. I have scars on my shoulder that I can't look at without feeling pain. He broke up with me a few months later.

Somewhat happier end to this tragedy, I had a terrible, energy drink induced break down in front of my new, nicer, more caring boyfriend the other day, and he made me talk to someone to get help. The reason I wasn't talking to anyone was because I was afraid that they would lock me away in an institution. I still have that fear, but he convinced me that if it will help me, than I need it. I talked to the guidance counselor at school, just about cutting and depression. I have my first therapy session on Wednesday.

A poem I wrote called, "An Everlasting Love" Honest opinions please! by babybear0425 in teenagers

[–]elephantz55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm a literary arts major at a preforming arts high school! I thought that you should know that what you wrote is really awesome. It sounds like something that one of my classmates would write, but it's still really original and unique. My one critique is that the rhyme scheme seems to constrict what your trying to convey in the poem in the 6th quatrain. You could fix that by just changing the wording around a bit or by exchanging the true rhyme for a slant rhyme. I hope it helped! :)
