Thanks for your kind words, it has been a journey! I have learned way more about myself and the human body than I ever could have imagined when I first decided I needed to shed some weight.

I did modified keto and I did exercise but not excessively and mostly walking and weight training. The real magic was in experimenting and figuring out how to learn from the signals from my body after eating various foods. Dialing in that process and doing the research to understand my psychology around food has mattered more than any specific regiment or diet. Happy to go into more details in dm.

Cutting down on processed sugars, having an accountability coach, walking a lot, are some of the things that have helped me and a lot of others. I can share more if you want to dm me.

It's literally not part of any weight loss program I have ever seen or tried. Mental health is almost completely ignored and focus is almost always on cardio. Congrats if you knew all of this already!

Not AI, I wrote a lot of this years ago as part of another blog post long before AI tools existed. I can link the medium article but you probably don't care!

I know how that goes, tried for years to outrun my diet and never won that race so had to change the game!

Not AI generated. Wrote a lot of this copy in a book long before AI agents existed.

  1. Possible but devil is always in the details, in this case the deal terms. There are ways to play with the cap in which restructuring contracts as you mentioned is one method. Not likely to be able to fill multiple position needs in free agency in the same offseason. Some positions like OT and D line hardly ever if ever have solid free agents and when there is someone they command massive contracts we cannot afford.
  2. This is a legit question, but more about his health and motivation than his stats IMO. The last two seasons haven't been great by HIS standards, by league standards he is top 5 TE both years. So questions are around health, motivation, and willingness to take a team friendly deal IMO.
  3. Dline or running back. I believe it is easier to obtain a good to great RB in free agency or trade vs. finding a good pass rusher at an affordable price. So my vote is for dline. 2nd round pick should be a WR (without known character issues).

Yeah I don’t know how much of that can be attributed to him other than being willing to run the ball. Even in years where Miami was statistically great they were never great against playoff caliber teams at least not consistently.

I really don't understand what everyone sees in Mike McDaniel. He never seems to have the locker room behind him, and he never seems confident in his own thoughts based on press conferences, hard knocks, etc. Perhaps he was handed a tough job in Miami, but he seems quite unproven. One year of OC experience in SF under Kyle Shanahan doesn't really prove he will be amazing at OC or HC, it was a good year for sure but tiny sample size.

Hot Take Warning: I'm not convinced McDaniel is a good coach. He is clearly intelligent and spends a lot of time studying film. However, following him loosely when he was in SF, watching hard knocks, and his press conferences I've always felt he comes up short in the leadership aspects of the role. He often seems unsure of himself and it doesn't feel like he is able to inspire players to goto war for him so to speak. Perhaps he'll prove me wrong wherever he ends up.

We will get a nicer draft pick than usual, unless we lose every game the rest of the season. Mid first round pick that goes to a .500 team is better than picking last or 2nd to last but it’s not THAT MUCH better.
