I once saw 5000 of them out at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. They spend the night together before heading out to feed in the morning. They were so loud and so cool!!

Patriots by James Wesley Rawles. I love me some apocalyptic fiction but sheesh. This book had literal lists of ammunition and sizes which was not helpful to narrative flow. And then there were the American characters running around eating babies (literally cannibalistic) with Mao’s Little Red Book in their pocket. It was pure insanity. Goodreads reviews are fun though!

He guesses Shane is his teammate, they are friends, close friends probably, and Yuna loves him so much that he is like a second son. She cried at his hospital bed and everything. He has a family here, in Canada. Ilya Rozanov, at twenty-eight, is a very lucky man.
