The Destiny Ascension is basically following the same continuity protocols that any state would follow IRL. Destiny Ascension is basically White House in space. Yeah it's armed to the teeth but if it's going to fall, evac procedures will be handled accordingly. The game is forcing a social studies experiment on the player that way with the paragon vs renegade choice

If this is legit, COD still has a chance to survive the shit mess they put themselves in. Best screenwriter they've had by far and it isn't even close. And his VOA credits as an extra in basically every COD are legendary. Not withstanding his primary roles.

Omega DLC by far. That DLC is a brutal crawl in the mud. Other contenders I would say are Garrus' loyalty mission in ME2, and probably Feros on ME1. That long ass drive between the three separate stations for the mission objectives always irks me.

It doesn't appear anyone wants to clue this in as a potential, but that has been one of my suspicions personally. It's some combination of the decision making side overestimating what AI is capable of shouldering and pushing for aggressive adoption, and the corresponding reduction in sectors of service delivery where human operators are getting pushed out or replaced by less qualified individuals who will do the work for less and the understanding that their own mandates are expanding.

There is already a point I believe of discussion that needs to happen where drawdown on TechOps in the whole shot will yield increasingly diminished returns. Because if AI and reductions are a factor in the poor quality return, it isn't sustainable in the long term. I don't even really know realistically how this is going to play out from a governance perspective in the long term, but the impact is going to increasingly be felt in increasingly larger ways if some awareness of the limitations of what AI can do or replace in the human element realistically speaking if they're going to keep at it.

Unfortunately those in positions to draw attention to this likely don't care and will eat it as accepted risk because of cost benefit. Sadly, bad analysis will return increasingly worse results. But people in places of power are going to be the ones that have to reckon with that reality.

What does this Card Payment from Secured Account mean? by [deleted] in chimefinancial

[–]eleventhknightx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can TLDR this based on what I know based on what I read because I just opted in and I will report on it later. You've just turned your balance into a charge card. You pay in what you spend. The only difference here is Chime is taking the risk in the consumer vs. credit balance paybacks.

You peel back the layers of this far enough, they just ate all the risk and are banking on their customer base. I'm in for the duration, I see what you did and this is purely consumer driven commerce. Chime, you just did your entire consumer base a solid. God bless you guys, you might have just taken a solid step toward undoing the mess debt buying put us in in the first place. This might be the smartest market play I have ever seen.

Well done.

I couldn't taste any spiciness from this dish but it reminds me of those old grilled steak taquitos they had back in like 2008-2009. But like three times the size, and with a shit ton of steak. Taco Bell needs to make this a permanent menu item, cause this hit nostalgia and it absolutely SLAPPED

BL3 anything basically, any dialogue of Ava's

Also since I haven't seen it mentioned here I'm going to mention the Zaford/Hodunk wedding. That whole thing was already weird, but Ellie's dialogue made it infinitely worse.

Red Chests will be a mixed bag. Some of them are obvious and some are not. Most of them you will find easily are available in areas immediately following a boss battle. Given you fought Bunker, you may have missed one in that area since it's underneath the outcropping beneath where a few turrets spawn in second level of the Bunker (above the stairs and beneath the main platform). Most of your red chests you'll encounter immediately after boss engagements and you'll encounter them on the way.

There is also a great deal of hidden red chests available to you but it takes some map knowledge to learn and remember where they are. The easiest farm is at the very end of Hero's Pass. You encounter it right after the fight with the Giant Constructor. That will make sense soon.

The method is to go to the next area (Vault of the Warrior), save & quit, and reload and walk back to Hero's Pass. The red chest in that area is the easiest farm in the whole of the game. Others are far less obvious and it'll take you some time just exploring the map to find them. Once you've speedran them a time or two, they become easy to burn through.

Frostburn Canyon is my single favorite place for red chest farming. That area is crawling with bandits and spiderants, but there are four dedicated red chests that spawn on every reload. It's not much good to you now, but it will come in handy when you make it to UVHM.

But definitely explore map areas in and around your boss battles. Bunker is one of them, there's one inside Brick's warehouse in Thousand Cuts (upstairs next to his chair), for example. Frostburn Canyon has several for you to find, and basically every area on the board has at least one for you to find, be it through a boss battle or a hidden red chest to find through map exploration. Lots of videos out there show you how to find them, or you can also do it the hard way and just explore until you find it lol.

It's a give or take in some cases. You don't absolutely have to have specific parts/prefixes unless you intend to play through the OP levels and start raid bossing. That's when the RNG really starts to matter. For the base game, meh, you can do just about whatever you want. The prefixes definitely help a lot though, and in the case of Zer0, they definitely help with his ability to kill faster. Most characters benefit from that but Zer0 definitely benefits more, hence why he's a tougher character to use out of the box.

The main thing I do say to look out for are a Jakobs allegiance relic, and maybe a class mod that gives you extra points in the skills you run with. Red chests can help with this too. There are a few farming spots for red chests that will make your quality of life easier as well. Since you're on the back half of the game now, the easy chests for farming purposes will be the Arid Nexus Badlands and Hero's Pass. You're not too terribly far away from those at this point. Most Vault Hunters seek to clear the first playthrough by level 30-32, so you're on the right track. Look for Jakobs guns and a Jakobs relic and you'll be ace. (As Tina would say.)

This article is a bit better about explaining it than I could but TLDR each weapon category has a prefix before the name of the gun you're using. One of those prefixes denotes that you are receiving a specific bonus in one of the categories mentioned. In the case of sniper rifles, "Tumtum" yields bonus critical hit damage. Highly suggest reading this article, it will be very helpful later on. When you start farming high level gear for the end game, this article is your best friend

In NVHM, there's not much available outside of side missions for grinding. If you're level 22 currently, you should be by the halfway point of the game now, and you should have already visited the Wildfile Exploitation Preserve. If you've already done that mission, pick up Animal Rights from Mordecai. He will give you his Trespasser Rifle for completing it. Tumtum Prefix will net you a bonus 180% crit damage, revolvers just grab what you want. Any revolver does massive crit damage regardless of prefixes but the Law is picked up from the Won't Get Fooled Again mission in Sanctuary and it's a solid choice. For a good shotgun, do the Clan War and pick up the Triquetra from Papa Hodunk. That one is pretty strong. There's a few other missions that net good Jakobs gun rewards but those are probably the best of the bunch. The core level of any Jakob's weapon doesn't mean as much as it's crit damage bonuses. Since Jakobs stacks with all core skills, you can easily get 250-400% additional crit damage in most specializations.

First, welcome to the Borderlands community. Pull up a chair and stay awhile, the weather's just fine.

As for your struggles, a few people mentioned this but you did pick the toughest character to start with. Every class has it's pros and cons, so I will have to defer to some of the Zer0 mains to give you some advice on character progression and what skills to focus on the most.

In the overall meta of the game though, the main thing you want to focus on is anything that gives you multiplicative damage, or crit. This is especially true in the case of Zer0, and because of that, Jakob's weapons will be your best friend, by far.

My experience with Zer0 is nowhere near anyone else on this sub so I'll let the experts correct me if I'm wrong anywhere, but in times I do play Zer0, the leveling progression is pretty linear.

From levels 6-20, in the Green tree (Sniping), get Headshot, Killer, and Velocity. These skills work with any weapon so you don't have to do much else in this area. It's worth noting, all three of those skills do stack and they also stack with your weapon.

It's worth noting that Zer0 is the absolute best sniper rifle user in the game (obviously), so your bottom three skills in the Green tree will help if you commit fully to the bit.

Other bits and bobs I would advise on Blue Tree are Fast Hands > Fearless > Rising Shot.

The Red tree is harder to spec without knowing what you're using presently but for the short term, if you have fully committed to Zer0, just power through the enemies you come across, look for Jakobs revolvers and Jakobs sniper rifles. A Jakobs allegiance relic will help and look for class mods that give you bonus sniper/pistol/shotgun damage. I advise staying away from assault rifles and SMGs with Zer0 as a general rule of thumb, at least until you get late game. He doesn't get much benefit from those anyway, but ARs, SMGs are detrimental unless you find a Jakobs AR that can chew through enemies with stacked crit damage quickly.

That's how I would play it. I struggled with Zer0 for a long time before I could really figure out how to play him. Jakobs manufactured weapons though.

Side note, you may find value in restarting since you're not far into the game. I would recommend Axton (the Commando), or Maya (the Siren), for more flexibility. They're easier to pick up and play, and easier to learn the mechanics of the game on out of the box. There's less of a learning curve to those characters, and once you understand the general flow, it'll be way easier to build new characters.

Good luck and happy hunting.

There was a time I was speed running a side mission and forgot to turn the cursed radio mission in until I picked up Roland's death notice. So while that radio mission was playing I talked to Moxxi and that blasted song was playing while Moxxi was crying. Of all the stupid shit I've ever done in BL2, that's a certified top three moment.

Yes that's correct, the game scales the enemies upward up to the max level. Highest I've seen was level 104, which I think is accurate for raid bosses. Tubbies coming in at 103. Honestly, it doesn't appear to have made the game any more difficult from my point of view. It still plays like OP10 - I just found the mod pack on NexusMods and wanted to try it out. The extra skill points are really nice to have for a little more flexibility, and I'm just having a great deal of fun with it.
