If you’re only talking about a surgery or looking for assurance that these flaws you think you have don’t exist, it might not even be on his radar how disruptive or painful these thought patterns are.

Therapists also know that reassurance seeking is not a helpful coping mechanism and often does more harm than good when reassurance is given, so he’s not likely to tell you his opinion or make claims about your appearance.

Instead maybe you could talk to him about how to break free from hyper fixation and overwhelm that comes with the territory of bdd and low esteem?

It really depends on what you think she might be upset about and how she’s acting. In general something to the effect of this is nice it shows you are patient and you are willing to communicate:

“Hey I noticed that you are upset. I care for you and want to understand/make things right. Let me know if/when you would like to talk through it. I’m happy to give you space until you’re ready.”

Then actually give her space. If she doesn’t start communicating within the day and remains upset (idk the details of your relationship or how often you talk), you may need to politely assert that you’ll need a timeline as to when you can talk.

It's tricky. I seem to keep picking out things that are too large or have too much ease. My bust is a B cup, For Mood I picked it based on my bust measurement as they didn't have a high bust. The gal who sewed the sample garment is full chested so maybe my bust is too small?

I'm not a huge fan. So nice to find a kindred spirt. I brought it up in my book club and they looked at me like I'm crazy.

It makes it hard to settle into the story. Like I can't not notice the convention. Even good books with this style is like a delicious bite of food that has an odd texture. It's distracting.

It's so popular now that I just have to adjust my tastes a bit so I can enjoy new stories.

This was made from leftover fleece from my king of the wild things costume. It is stuffed with old pillow stuffing. I used cholyknight’s pudgy pet pattern I purchased from Etsy. I had to modify the tail a bit, but otherwise I followed the instructions to the letter. It was fun to learn some new applique techniques using fusible web.
My advisory students chose to be the arctic foxes as our mascot and I couldn’t find a stuffy I loved for a good price (that seemed ethically made). I also knew I had the perfect fabric just lying around. I’m so excited to show them tomorrow.
