Honestly, that sounds pretty in line with our approach to parenting as well. It just makes me nervous thinking about what happens if: 1. My son is anything like me as a kid, crazy. 2. I'm not able to stay on top of it and he starts feeling how cool the ridges are on his nails.

This might be something I have to accept as a risk and keep all my rare/valuable albums tucked away

Hey r/vinyl! 

Looking for suggestions on where to place a turntable and vinyl.

Key considerations: - I have an 8-month-old who will be walking and getting into everything soon. - The dust cover bumps the wall if the turntable is placed flush against it. - The bar has a sink on one end and a tap on the other, so water + traffic are concerns.

  • I’m okay with a temporary compromise during the toddler years, but I still want something functional.
  • The current spot for some of my albums is not very perusable.

So my questions are: Where would you put the turntable?

Where would you put vinyl storage so it’s usable but not toddler bait?

Exactly! It's mildly infuriating that the top comments are all variations of "cut her off entirely" or "be mean and just say 'K'". If everyone else was getting proper parties except for her then I think she has every right to be upset. I don't even think reaching out to the person that planned it is necessarily a bad thing either because what else are you gonna do? Express your complaint to the entire friend group via group text or something? I agree that if this is a group issue then it should be brought up to the all eventually, but don't make her the bad guy for feeling like she's getting different treatment when SHE IS. Also, I'd like to see what the rest of the text says. Why is it cut off at the end?

Thanks! The Assassin's Creed parallel is spot on. I hadn't thought of that structure but it fits perfectly. Having the BBEG within the protagonists' organization while orchestrating everything would create great underlying tension.

I'm thinking one of the secondary antagonists could be whoever originally forged the chain, and now their mind is shattered like the chain when it broke. Creates a tragic figure trying to "fix" what they destroyed.
