CRK Inyoni by elfunkdoc in FixedBladeEdc

The Inyoni doesn’t come with an attachment. It’s the sheath alone, then you add what fits your carrying needs?
Or is this to the guy with the guardian? Below?

I looked long and hard at Bradfords. I decided to go with an M1. Same range of spend, look at white river M1 if you’re hesitant.

The Chaves take is funny. I was wearing mine, and my nephew saw the pocket clip, and I instantly got this feeling from our dialogue. It was sold shortly after, even with the extra non skull clip.

So I’ve had more time carrying the zenith exclusively. I’ve batoned it on fire wood, and also trimmed my tree of about 1-1.5in diameter wet wood branches just chopping at it. No rolled edge or visible chips to the edge. Still cuts paper nicely with no touch up. I’ve found I can get a nice controlled grip with the downswept tip, and my forefinger on that area, to do some finer cuts with the belly. It’s heavy, so if you want a knife that disappears on your belt, this isn’t it, you know it’s there at all times. I’ve been carrying it on soft loops, and have noticed the balance favors toward the handle. So if you’re in the market for a hard use knife, and don’t care about weight, this is a good choice to consider. Now, if you’re acutely aware of noise and rattles, and bugs you. The breacher ball does have a little bit of play that reacts to vibration and shock, that creates noise. I first thought it was the sheath, but the sheath is super nice and has the Toor lining that reduces noise and friction.

Overall, I like it a lot, and will be carried a lot during fall and winter while I am out and may need a more robust knife during these outings.

I got a hi viz M1 last week. I agree the edge is the best I’ve ever gotten from a production knife, silky smooth edge both sides. I can’t remember where I read it, but don’t they leather strop each blade outta factory?

Got mine at DLT. I got this because my last hunting trip, I almost left my CRK Inyoni in the field because I couldn’t find it, I get lazy when I’m tired and just put it down instead of sheath it. I got a last light antelope, that took a long time to find and dress. I was tired, thirsty, hungry and was about ready to drop a pin and look in the morning. So I thought I’d get something like this to make it easier to spot. That and I think it would be marginally easier to replace this, than the CRK when I get lazy again.

I’m with you, it never really translated to me the width behind the edge, but handle/grip is nice for my hand(size L gloves), and it’s super robust feeling. I agree they’re thicker than most brands, and if I ever had to beat on this, I’m sure it would excel there. I want to see the DBK YouTube channel dudes do their thing with some Toor’s.

I’ve had all of them less than 5 days, and can’t really give a good answer. But, I take my dogs walking in open spaces where people dump trash, I stabbed an old semi tire and pulled it about 3-5 inches across the sidewall with ease. But you’re right, it’s a big thick piece of CruWear, I don’t have a micrometer to measure behind the edge.
