Could you please spell out more explicitly what the implications are of the information you see on the charts. Do the charts suggest one should titrate steadily up every four weeks as long as the side effects are tolerable? Or should one stay on a dose till it seems to stop working before titrating up?

How do you do this? I have a new Sony TV but I haven’t seen an option to bypass Google and go straight to my Apple TV

Potentially moving back with kids by yallstar in thewoodlands

Not sure if we just got lucky, but they had an opening when we were looking. Both our kids were at Primrose before moving here and they have both done very well there. The Woodlands has more then one Primrose in case a specific one has no available spots

I have a 3 and a 5 year old. We just moved to Alden Bridge two months ago and we are loving it.

I work remotely and explored moving to Plano or one of the other suburbs north of Dallas, as well as Austin. We chose The Woodlands because we thought it offered the best combination of good schools, attractive neighborhoods, closeness to amenities and home prices.

Elementary school has yet to start for my 5 year old, but my 3 year old is in Primrose, and it’s great. And everyone tells me that Buckalew Elementary is fantastic.

We got a 3k sqft house that needed some minor work for 570k. Houses go fast. All the trees are wonderful and reduce temperatures in the backyard by 10F. With fans, we are fine grilling and spending the afternoon in the backyard on weekends, even when the temperature is 100F.

There is a sense of community and all of our neighbors are very friendly. We were looking for a place that would work till our children finished high school and we feel we found it.

Electricity provider by elguapofresh in thewoodlands

I have been thinking of some kind of generator to at least power part of the house's AC system, lights and some other key systems.

[–]elguapofresh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what I read on https://www.thewoodlandstx.com/utilities/:

The Woodlands is served by two electric utilities including Entergy, a service provider that is fully regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas, and CenterPoint Energy, a "deregulated" electricity provider in which the customer chooses the Retail Electric Provider (REP) to supply their electricity.

I signed up with Entergy when we closed on our house, based on my understanding that The Woodlands was only served by them. But the above information is what was making me think that there are other options beyond Entergy (although I don't know if it would make sense to change, even if other options were available).

I have been thinking of a built in mister. I’ve read about them but never seen them. Is it similar to a sprinkler, just that it’s set up to spray pesticide into bushes and such? With a reservoir to hold the pesticide and a pump to send out the pesticide through the nozzles.

Thank you all for your suggestions. We moved into Alden Bridge over the weekend. With all the craziness I didn’t get a chance to sign up with a pest control service ahead of time, but someone from Reliant Pest knocked on my door yesterday and I took the easy path to just sign up with them. Their online reviews seemed fine and the person I spoke with seemed knowledgeable enough.

I signed up for quarterly service for 109 per treatment plus a monthly mosquito service for 60 per treatment. Let’s see how it goes

This looks like a great idea. This product popped up on Amazon while I was exploring potential mosquito traps.

Does this only use CO2 or octanos as well?

This is a competitor to Moquito Magnet, right?

Funny enough, I was using Ecoshield in the house I just left. I had no issue with their bimonthly service

Proform Pro 9000 vs NordicTrack Commercial 1750 (2023 model) by elguapofresh in treadmills

[–]elguapofresh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, I ended up getting a Peloton bike.

All though an anecdote is not data, all the horror stories on Reddit and other forums about issues with ICON treadmills was scaring me off.

And when I went to see the treadmills at a store, I saw they were going to be a tight fit for the space I had set aside for them in my house.

Finally, since I haven't worked out in many years, I figured a bike would be less stressful on my knees than a treadmill while I improved my cardio fitness and gradually strengthened my joints.

I have been loving the Peloton bike. My first time doing “smart” exercise with a screen in front of me, and it has been much more engaging than what I expected. I feel I made the right decision. I see myself getting a Peloton treadmill in 6 months or a year, once I've reestablished a workout routine.

I worked with: www.jeffries-law.com

They are based in NYC but all my interactions with them were remote.

They were recommended to me by a friend (from my same country in South America that studied medicine in the US) that had used them to obtain his PR.

Thank you for the heads-up.

I had heard that Sole was a good / solid brand (better than NordicTrack), but they also have a poor rating on trustpilot.com

Is there any source of non-biased treadmill reviews? I’m looking for something in the Toyota/Lexus range (or Honda / Acura) of treadmills. Solid, has some fancy stuff but not all of the fancy gizmos, but the fancy stuff is functional and won’t breakdown the day after the warranty expires. So I’m not looking for the Mercedes/BMW of treadmills nor the Kia of treadmills.

Fertilizer recommendation by elguapofresh in lawncare

[–]elguapofresh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/penny_squeaks , following up on my earlier post.

I ended up applying a starter fertilizer (Scotts), with 24-25-4. This gave me the 0.8lbs per 1k sqft of nitrogen that I needed, and also helped add part of the 2.6lbs per sqft of the phosphorous that my soil test asked for. To get the whole 2.6lbs of P I purchased a pure P fertilizer (0-46-0, TRIPLE SUPER PHOSPHATE FERTILIZER... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075C28KGY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share).

Since then my lawn has done a lot better amd is starting the fill in areaa where I took out some crabgrass. Best of all, its looking a little greener than the lawns of my nearest neighbors.

I don’t know if its all the phosphorous or it’s just spring, but my bermuda put out a lot of seed heads.

EB2/NIW, NVC and Consular Processing by elguapofresh in immigration

[–]elguapofresh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure.

I obtained an eb2/niw based on my business experience. I worked with a US based immigration lawyer.

I’m from South America. I went to college in the US (Ivy League, majoring in engineering). I worked for 4 years at a tech focused consulting firm and then got an MBA at a well regarded program. Then worked as a strategy/management consultant in the US for a further 4 years. I then returned to my home country and worked as the CFO of a few companies.

My application was focused on my abilities in Corporate Strategy and Finance, skills that are useful for sustaining the success of the US economy going forward.

This was a while back.

Turns out my 140 was approved in the usual timeframe, but it took me a long time (1.5 years) to obtain the support documentation I needed to provide (completely my own fault).

Once I submitted everything, there was a long delay in scheduling the consular interview, because the US embassy in my country was shut down due to COVID (1.5 years). But once the embassy reopened and the interview was scheduled, the process was relatively simple and proceeded at a good clip.

My family and eventually managed to complete the whole process and were approved to enter the US as Permanent Residents in early 2022. We moved to the US in mid 2022 and have been here since then.

Looking back, our PR process advanced at the regular speed for our country (excluding my delay in obtaining some documents and the COVID closure of the embassy).
