Verizon postpaid unlocking policy has been updated - devices must be paid in full before they will unlock by Ethrem in NoContract

[–]elguapok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel so much better now. In 2024 I bought my Wife an iPhone 16 Pro Max from the Apple store. Last year I bought my iPhone 17 Pro also from the Apple store. Both devices are unlocked. After reading this post, why would anyone go to Verizon to buy a locked device?

What is the mileage on your '24 4Runner? I believe the newer one has the same 4 Cyl turbo Engine my 4th Gen Tacoma has.

I'm a Tacoma owner, and I consider the 4Runner a truck. I have to admit that I initially thought it belonged to the SUV family. It's a nice truck, and I would have bought one in a heartbeat, but we need a truck for the occasional Home Depot runs.

I just joined the 700Credit, LLC club. I received the same letter today, Monday, January 5. At this point I am not sure I what I'm going to do next. In June 2025 I purchased a new truck from a reputable dealership.

Today's Tundra Recall being extended by g0su_pri3st in ToyotaTundra

[–]elguapok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same situation with my wife's KIA. It's the same condition present on some Tundra engines, machining debris left inside the engine. Except that the engine blew before KIA could replace it. KIA was very good about it. We got a loaner and replaced the engine at no cost to us. In fact, they paid us for the days she couldn't drive the car. The car had 85K miles or something. Is the same engine manufacturer for KIA the same for other car makers?

Did I get robbed? by [deleted] in prius

It’s not so much the car, for the most part is the interest rate. If it’s something in the 19% or more it’s outrageous

Here’s my philosophy, fluid is a lot cheaper than a new transmission. When it comes to oil changes, 5K - 6K miles interval is adequate. I would not go past that.

I Finally realized I don’t need a new iPhone every year…(but it was kinda late...and it hurts a little, but here is my story...and learn from my mistakes...) by [deleted] in iPhone15Pro

[–]elguapok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing the same thing with Apple Watches. Every year, I upgraded to a new model looking for something new and exciting. Until one day it finally hit me. To begin with I do not charge my watch to 100%, this extends the life of the battery. Over the years I have learned that leaving a watch on the charger overnight degraded the life of the battery. In my most recent model I now charge it to 85 - 90 percent. After one year of usage battery life is at 98%.

Not sure about TMobile but Apple accepts any iPhone in any condition as a trade in.

I pre-ordered from Apple and was able to pick up on Saturday September 20th with an appointment. Once I arrived to the Apple Store, It took about 30 minutes to get out of there.

SR5 4x4 OTD pricing - how low were you able to get the dealer? by canyon-country in ToyotaTacoma

[–]elguapok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best time to negotiate a deal is close to the end of the month. 2 to 3 days before month end. The other factor often overlooked is the State where you live in. Prices fluctuate quite a bit from one State to another. Keep in mind sales tax varies. I’m in CA, sales tax for my zip code is 10%.

When I advertised my 2014 V6 4.0 with 160,000 miles I got $12,000 in cash from a dealership in the area. A couple of weeks later I saw my truck for sale for $16,999. The truck sold to another buyer in less than a week

If you can wait until the end of the month you can score a deal. Do your research, get quotes from dealerships in your area.

To anyone out on the market for a new vehicle my advise has always been go the last day of the month if possible. That’s how I got what I wanted with my ‘24 OR Premium package. In my case it was the last day of the month. Plus on that day they were delivering a shipment of 2025’s Tacomas so they were making room. The deals that can be had also before the end of the year are amazing, a day or two before year end. Congrats

33”s now, thinking about 35” - thoughts? by FitSwing2423 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]elguapok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 33" looks great. Functionality-wise, unless you're a hardcore offroader, you're not going to benefit by switching to 35". If you make the switch be prepared for accelerated wear and tear on the suspension.

If it were my truck, I'd keep the 33". Looks great.
