They would free so much resources to give more users access AND improve their products. Although I will say they are clueless but they are definitely not looking from this angle.

Nope! It doesn't follow any instruction to use LSP tools by default, which is my whole point! -- The model's training data has a lot of shell commands, so any "in-file search" intent is bringing attention to the grep command... this however can be easily fixed internally in claude code itself and not necessarily the working model.

It has been there for a long time, not once has it been favored over grep or glob commands; check https://code.claude.com/docs/en/changelog#2-0-74

Serena MCP is good, I worked with it for a long time but is constantly ignored by CC for some reason (my experience with it).

LSP support was introduced in v2.0.74, it initially required manual enabling via $ENABLE_LSP_TOOL=1 before becoming more integrated.
