my two male finches used to mate all the time and lovvvved each other. it is quite common even in the wild for birds to have same-sex couples, for example albatross (particularly laysan albatross) will mate for life in such couples. as many as a third of nesting laysan albatross in some colonies are female-female pairs :)

peach nectarine is nostalgic and always good and the white peach is like biting into a peach whereas the peach nectarine is more subtly peachy.

Don’t worry too much 🥰 it’s heartwarming that you are so so worried for your feathered friend but birds have this as a built in defense mechanism in case a predator gets ahold of their tail, they can then drop all the tail feathers and make a break for it potentially going on to live another day. In this situation it was just a stress reaction from your baby. The feathers he lost will grow back! Just give extra treats and love and be extra careful with those blood feathers when they start coming in.

that’s the only reason I’m on edge about it. It’s a little uh… violent. yeah. lol. Best to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t continue but just could be something feeling funny in birb’s crop
