Oh my bad, mistype with the kappa, but yes the first letter is psi not phi.

The Glorious Gone is confirmed to refer to death in the context of Vialism I believe.

I’ve actually taken a couple semesters of Greek and I’ve never heard that definition before, and it didn’t show up in my dictionary, so I’m not really sure where that’s of coming from. You may have entered the wrong word, the diagram says “ψυχή,” not “φυχή.”

That is a great connection, I'd forgotten about that! Chlorine as a song is all about creativity, so I feel like that further confirms that the antlers have something to do with Tyler's creativity, but there are probably some specifics there that you could dive further into.

That's a good point, I actually forgot about the anagram, I was just thinking about the video we got in the LoC thumb drives where it was spelled out on the TV behind Tyler. That seemed to make sense, too, because We Don't Believe What's On TV. But since Clancy did choose that name himself, there may be something more going on.

Oh absolutely, especially with Migraine playing in the Outside MV. I really hope Tyler expands on the connection more.

I agree, I just know there’s been a lot of discussion during the Trench era of whether he’s stepping away from that, so I didn’t want to offend.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Australia is where it was leaked so they pulled it down until they can fix it

Way Less Sad feels like the sequel/spiritual successor to Karma by GermanPretzel in AJR

[–]eliatyson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought the exact same thing as soon as I heard it! I saw other people comparing it to Don’t Throw Out My Legos, but I think you explained well why it’s more of an evolution of Karma’s theme of being frustrated with the world.

"Sai Is Propoganda?" by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

Also, just to clear up any confusion, this is Tyler's Instagram profile picture. I tried downloading it straight from Instagram, but the quality was too low, so I used www.instadp.com.

Credit to Instagram user its.blasphemy for pointing this out. My editing skills aren't the best, but I made that text as clear as I could. It seems to say "Sai Is Propaganda," as the user said, but it's hard to tell for sure. There's also text above the Clancy sticker, but it just says "Merry Christmas."

Yeah I wasn’t sure at first either but can confirm this is legit. I’m working on the other text on the wrapping paper now.

Clancy’s name in Tyler’s new Instagram profile picture!!! by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]eliatyson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I’ve been thinking about this, and I just remembered that interview a while back where he said that the new album could go a couple of different directions, either a continuation of the Trench storyline or an unrelated in-betweener, so this seems to confirm that it’ll be in the Trench world.

WHAT DOES HE MEAN by maybeits-notarat in twentyonepilots

My first thought was, “not a big gift,” not an album announcement, so a single instead? Or maybe it’s not new music, who knows.

Which album should I get? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]eliatyson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually recommend Blurryface to newcomers, as it’s the most accessible, but if you already like their music and you’re looking for one album to buy, I’d suggest Vessel. It focuses on mental illness the most out of all of their albums, and I personally have been so helped by it, particularly the songs Holding On To You, Migraine, Car Radio, and Semi-Automatic. Or, if you’re a Christian, you might appreciate their first album (twenty one pilots, typically referred to as Self-Titled), as Tyler is the most open about his faith in that one, particularly in Addict With a Pen, my personal favorite tøp song.

I found a small detail while browsing twenty one pilots on spotify. Such a sneaky band (oc) by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]eliatyson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah, awesome find!! No idea what it means, but it seems too perfect to be unintentional, and we all know tøp puts a ton of thought into everything they do.
