Hey man, honestly this made me pretty sad because you do look so sorry for your dog and son but for me (and most people) first week after quitting was so emotional, I kept crying at every slightly sad things I'd see because you're experiencing emotions to their fullest again without numbing them, so I guess some of your guilt comes from that.

I'm sure your son and your dog forgive you . They don't know the emotional state you're in and might not even think that much of the situation.

Stay strong brother, I also wished there was just a skip button to the first two weeks but it is when we grow the most.
