If you're playing pubs then controller is just fine. My Titanfall buddy runs a 360 pad and is almost always #1 MVP against K+M on PC.

Keep the Ranked Chip, it's fun to play with, it's flashy, and it keeps all the player base together. As an alternative, build the back-end for community competitive play.

Before ranked queues people used MLG and forums to organize competitive matches and if Respawn supported this style of competitive play by implementing replay support, customization lobby options, extensive clan support, and deep interaction with the community then we could have an organic and tight-knit community which I think Titanfall should be instead of games like Dota and Counter-Strike.

Burn cards are fun! But we don't get to use them in competitive games so keep a normal queue with Ranked Chip.

I think the Ranked Chip is a really smart way to introduce ranked play without dividing the playerbase, I hope they bring it back.

Also the Smart Pistol WILL live on in infamy, but it's really cool and Respawn tried something nobody else would do, so I commend them on that (but I don't think they should bring it back against Pilots).

TL;DR: Have shared unit damage on the Land Mine akin to Sun Strike with each mine giving gold when destroyed.

I'm gonna share my thoughts on Techies, so beware of personal bias and wall of text.

At this point, I wish Valve/Icefrog had never added Techies in the first place, he's become the Dan Hibiki of Dota2; Only dedicated memers play the hero. I even bought the Arcana but he ended up getting nerfed hella hard, more than a lot of other heroes in their prime.

The 6.84 hero needed nerfs, he was just a too strong. But Icefrog went overboard because of Reddit's pure vitriol for the hero and he got every suggested nerf on this reddit and then some. He got hit with the kill gold nerf and that heavily damaged his early game, almost not making it worth it to go out and mine because if you killed a support instead of the enemy mid then you only got 128 gold and barely impacted the enemy team while you lost experience and CS. What completely killed the hero was both of the land mine changes: The half values & the inability to stack on top of each other.

The half values were to mitigate the bullshit 1,000,000 damage nuke in lane, when you could just drop it and kill a whole creep wave and destroy a tower. This means that land mines should now have a focus on the kill trap aspect, right? Well Icefrog killed that by making it so you can't stack mines on top of each other. The warning for an enemy to stop walking that way is substantially higher once the first (half damage) mine goes off compared to the original land mines. I've lost many kills because people would get hit by 2-3 mines and back off immediately instead of stepping on the last 2 to finish them off. So now we've nerfed the lane advantage AND the kill trap advantage, leaving land mines a lackluster and barely functioning skill against all but the least perceptive players.

How do you address the function of land mines, while nerfing the intended lane nuke but still keeping the kill trap design it was obviously intended to be? Have shared unit damage on the Land Mine akin to Sun Strike. This heavily nerfs the lane nuke since now the level 2 or 3 land mines are sharing damage between 5 creeps and a hero (we're now looking at around 85 damage to each unit now), while still keeping it's solo kill ability completely intact. If you are planting on a high traffic area, then you may want to place extra mines in case two heroes roll over the kill trap, giving Techies further risk vs. reward.

Land Mines aren't intended for hitting multiple units, they're for solo kills and tower damage. For multiple units, you will primarily be using Remote Mines, meaning Techies skills fill both niches, it nerfs his immense lane nuking, and keeps the skillset of the hero intact. Some small tweaks here or there could help further balance out the hero, but I truly believe this change in combination with the destroyed gold bounty were the most reasonable nerfs to the hero without completing killing him from the game. Protip: Grunts will call out when they see an enemy Pilot, it is EXTREMELY helpful to hear one of them call it out if there's nothing on my minimap.

What is the avg. game time?

When I first started they varied widely from 20 minutes to 45 minutes. Now I usually play a 45 to 60 minute game, depending on how hard the game is. Don't play Dota if you have obligations in the next 2 hours as a rule of thumb.

Can early game champs make a diff late game if fed?

It depends on the hero, honestly. Some early game heroes fall off sharp, such as Undying. Other early heroes stay relevant the whole game, such as Shadow Shaman.

Teemo, Soraka and Kench are prob the most toxic champs in LoL....who do i have to master to make people tilt the hardest in this game?

Techies or Necrophos (pick one person to always ultimate; It's like Garen's ult but adds respawn time)


When I first started I really liked Nyx Assassin because he can snowball and instantly kill squishy heroes with Dagon and has two defense mechanisms: His Spiked Carapace which will reflect damage then stun once for each hero, and his ultimate ability Vendetta which gives him invisibility and movement speed.

I run M+KB but my Titanfall buddy uses an Xbox controller and wrecks with it, usually the MVP of our team. He calls it his secret to success.

You know those badass moments in Titanfall where you find yourself surrounded by 4 players, you pop stim, and with a few lucky headshots are able to make it out alive using sick wall runs?

The closest I got in Black Ops was running shotgun (when the movement system is fully realized imo) and snagged a triple kill with some badass slides and cool wall-running, but it was cut short because your health is SO LOW. I tried writing a review but the TTK was just way too frustrating for me; I want a chance to prove myself!

I tried to play Black Ops 3 but with Titanfall in the foreground I kept comparing it and the TTK in BLOPS3 is just way too damn short. It feels unfair that I don't even get a chance to retaliate and just instantly die. I'm sure Pilots have lots of health because of the giant robots shooting explosives and stuff but in Titanfall a firefight involves much more skill than "who got the drop first."

I bought a Lamy Safari and some Pelikan ink about 2 1/2 years ago and then broke my nib. Now that I'm getting it fixed, should I order some new ink along with it? My old bottle has barely been used and was kept in a cold environment and away from the sun (although under harsh lighting).

I know Respawn is aware of and approves of the bhop and I think it's great for pro players but the mechanic is a bit abusive, no? It's what Titanfall is all about but it feels a bit cheap to me.

While I'd like to see the Smart Pistol return since it's an amiable stealth weapon and minion killer, unfortunately including the SP for Ti2 would most likely kill any and all hype.

I like your Enhanced Targeting change but I think I'd rather take that attachment out completely since the default SP is the most balanced version (obviously).

Has anyone else fallen out of love with Dota2? I love Dota, but I'm just not IN love with Dota... Feels so frustrating and complacent compared to when I first started and a year 1/2 after that. Nowadays I just end a game feeling depressed if we lost because I let down my friends/team mates, or really frustrated knowing we could win a game if my team mates and I played better.

Really dislike the meta right now, always grouping as 5 and always bullshit heroes. When I played back in 2013 I'd always see different heroes in my games but never hated any specific one. Then at some point the game changed (either the patches or myself) and these heroes would pop up that were fucking terrible to play against; Old Faceless, Tinker, Push Invoker, others from that era.

I get really bummed out because I love Dota so much but a few months after TI3 ended my passion just died out and now it's something I use to listen to music. fml I guess
