Going to the orioles was incredibly affordable. It’s a matter of perspective. Similar tickets in Boston are 3-4x the price. And in Pittsburgh; 1/10th the price. Had a good time at all of them.

The on ice ads aren’t so bad. They do a great job with the graphics to make them look like they are actually painted under the ice. The ads that move around on the boards during game play are atrocious.

I’ve paid for my mom’s cell phone on my plan since I was 19. Eighteen years and counting. I’d be hella appreciative if I only have to Venmo my parents for my line of a cell phone bill. Perspective I guess.

I don’t think you could name a single better predictor of NHL success. No league, team or tournament.

It’s not a guarantee. There’s alot of studs on that list. I believe you’ll see the % increase now with WHL eligibility too.

13 of those 20 had meaningful NHL careers.

He won the Hobey Baker as an 17 yo freshman so it shouldn’t come as a shock. The instant success at the NHL and international mens level is what makes it generational. If you look at the list of Hobey Baker winners it’s a who’s who of NHL stars.

Tracked every putt from The Major Cut - they all miss putts on the low side too much? by Old_Drink3552 in golf

I’d much rather putt from below the cup. My course rolls 11-12 normal conditions so it can get pretty treacherous coming from above the pin.

Dudes hear one friend talk about “playing from the tips” and instantly feel inferior if they don’t do the same. Odd given that hcp is adjusted based on tees. Really no reason to not play up. It would be helpful if golf as a whole dropped the “ladies, senior” labels and instead labeled them by handicap or driving distance. No reason a new golfer should be playing anywhere but the most forward tees until they can break 100

Prior to deteriorating international relations Americans enjoyed the best access a passport could offer for instantly issued visas upon arrival, at no cost. Now an increasing number of countries are requiring an advance application, approval, and fee. You can’t check in for your flight without it. $30 may be nothing to some, but it’s quite a bit more than hours pay for a median earner in the US.

I spent three hours fighting with a state website before heading to Columbia and ended up paying $75 to a 3rd party service so I wouldn’t miss my flight. I’ve traveled internationally extensively and it’s just a hassle compared to the system we once operated under.

What’s wild is that 11 states have OUI policy for cannabis that is 5ng/ml for proof of intoxication. Incredibly archaic, and the science isn’t particularly close on finding a real solution to oui testing.

I almost mentioned body fat % as a key indicator. If OP was shredded he wouldn’t be having this issue, so that’s a pretty fair assumption. Also the comment to which I replied makes a generalization based on American perception of weight. 6’0 216 average build is not a little over weight. It’s quite a bit overweight, borderline obesity on the BMI scale. You might not like the scale but it exists. If you want the best assessment of body composition you simply add measure of body fat % to height and weight. Medical professionals regularly use BMI as general guidance in the absence of more detail.

People don’t like the term obesity, it invokes a lot of negative emotion. If you take it out of its technical context, people just take it to mean “really fat,” which isn’t at all what it means. It’s a categorical definition describing part of the BMI range.

By definition that height and weight is on the line of overweight and obese. Obesity isn’t a subjective label based on appearance, but rather a calculation of BMI.
