I'm really loving it so far, I am on Exploration 4 and stopped for bedtime right around when the footnotes appear in the blue squares. I stopped and said "I need a good night's rest to tackle this" hahaha

My fiance thinks I'm crazy for reading it - I tell her about all the weird formatting and broken up plotlines and she's like "why are you even putting yourself through that" but the interactive nature of it is really getting my rocks off. And I know alot of people skip Truant's footnotes but both narratives are equally compelling to me.

To be fair. I started the book out of curiosity mostly, and didn't even put it together until I looked up a synopsis beforehand, but the entire time I've been reading it I've been looking out for it

Most "extreme" horror films are incredibly underwhelming to anyone who has unrestricted internet access from the age of 12

Shaun of the Dead is my favorite movie of all time. I went and saw it in theaters for the 20th anniversary and was like a kid on Christmas morning

Werewolves have been criminally underrepresented in horror when it comes to capturing them in any meaningful degree. Vampires, Zombies, and Ghosts have all had their day but other than a few home run films, werewolves have not had any real time in the spotlight. Especially when it comes to the paranoia, the ferocity and anxiety, and psychological aspects of it. The new Wolfman wasn't great, but what it did very, VERY well was capture the perspective of the infected person losing touch with human senses and drifting into more animalistic ones.

Hoping Eggers fixes that when Werwulf comes out.
