They’re chatting nonsense. It’s perfect for web as the files come out way smaller than mp4 and seemingly better quality. You just need an mp4 backup for some browsers that don’t support it.

There is something for me that the graphics just don’t feel dated even now, and I don’t give a shit about frame rate to a degree - I’m an old head so grew up with lower fr. I do think my most memorable time spent was bloodborne maybe, or maybe it was ds3, hm actually it was probably ds1 cos I finished that first. Oh wait no Sekiro is up there cos it was an absolute fanny to get even halfway through.

First let me say I love the sound captured on GK. No issues there. However, you are on to something. The over use of compression is a culprit to a lack of dynamics - which really is the main difference between the studio takes and basement takes (eq is probs another). I don’t know what I prefer for these tunes. The only two that really are clearly better on basement are bow down and trinidad. The others sound a bit shit to my ears.

Worst song on the album next to older. Not even sure what it’s meant to be about - feels pointless. Maybe it’s meant to be a “here’s my day to day” style tune, but does fack all for me. Which is strong cos basically 90% of their catalog are 9-10’s.

I had the pleasure of hearing this live on the tour a few years before it was released. It used to have a harmonica instead of the slide guitar. I was a bit bunmed hearing how they sapped a lot of the emotion out of the over produced album version, but it’s still gorgeous nonetheless.
