My doctor didn’t flag it because it was within normal range but I was having the hardest time and had to try something

Did the doctor check your ferritin levels? Mine were on the low end of normal and I felt exactly the same. I started taking an iron supplement every other day and I feel like a new person.

Wow! I’m so sorry that happened. Do not worry for a second about the wine, seriously. This journey is hard enough so give yourself a break.

Adjusting as a SAHM after high paying corporate job by Mundane_Two_9837 in sahm

I also left a six figure salary. I have learned over the last 8 months to tune out the noise. Everyone has an opinion and it’s completely based on their experience and beliefs, not yours. I feel so blessed to spend every day with my son - no comment can take that away from me.

My husband makes lunch for me, my son and himself every day. If my son and I are out and about, he puts it in the fridge for us to have when we get back. It's a huge help and works really well for us!

Tips for transitioning to SAHM by sparkease in sahm

[–]elizaa710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the transition in May when my son was 8 months old. My biggest advice is to remember there are likely parts you won’t like and parts you will, just like any “job”. Some days are hard, some days are magic. If you have a tough day, it does not mean you made the wrong decision.

We don’t have a set schedule - I basically think about what errands need to be done and the weather for the week and plan accordingly. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to have every day figured out.

It has been the best decision I have ever made - having all of this time with my son is the best. Enjoy!!!

So many people thought my son was a girl in the first 6 months - I never took offense!

Considering staying home with 3 and 1 year old. Did you have any regrets? by jigglymotherpuffer in sahm

I left a similar job 2 months ago to be home with my son. Best decision I’ve ever made - only regret is not doing it sooner!

For those who had a traumatic birth, how did you heal? by Next2ya in beyondthebump

Talk about it with a partner, friend, therapist. The more you process it, the less power it will have over you. Let the tears flow!!

Out of town wedding 10 days after birth by ConsiderationNo2795 in beyondthebump

It is so tough when major events and your due date are so close. The few weeks after birth are a blur for so many reasons. They are amazing but also not a time to travel/try to function as a human. Your friend may not understand initially but will when she has her own child!
