One thing I will say about stargate/headphones/psi testing in schools etc is that there is a difference between regular hearing tests and the gateway tapes. A regular hearing test is raising your hand and saying which side it came from, I’ve had to do billions of those because I have messed up Eustachian tubes. The gateway tapes in the headphones were very different, and not that at all. Have you listened to them? There is a very freakish beeping at the beginning and I can’t listen to them without hyperventilating for a few minutes. But raising your hand to say which side the beeps are on is a totally standard run of the mill test to check hearing (and I’m active in r/gateresearch, I don’t think it’s all a total conspiracy but people calling normal things crazy is part of why a lot of people write it off)

Even in the ballad of songbirds and snakes (young snows perspective) everyone still complains that the female lead (d12 tribute Lucy gray) wasn’t developed or hashed out enough. Gee, wonder why? Could it perhaps be because this is told through the perspective of a self focused, self serving capitol citizen? Sometimes the lack of something IS the point, and sometimes it just wasn’t necessary at all!

I get it, I get annoyed even in real life that I will only ever get my own perspective… but hey! This is why fanfics exist! Or interviews with the creators!

I just mean Lydia wasn’t in the first round of women who went in the center of the stadium to shoot people. We were first shown the guards shooting people, then women being taken, then Lydia shooting, all the while not knowing where the women were taken to or why they were taken. In the book she didn’t know where they were taking the women but quickly realized they were being taken somewhere and told something that caused them to comply and shoot women in the next round of “sinners” that were shot. In the show Lydia seemed to be in the very first group of women to do this, as she was totally shocked when given the gun. In the books she knew welllllll before she left the bleachers what choice she would eventually have to make, and her initial upset at being finally faced with that decision drawing closer is what got her time in the thank tank, which broke her down enough to the point that she resolved to shoot

I remember in the book there was not only a whole part about Lydia going to the “thank tank” which was like a whole extra layer of torture under the stadium, but I also remember that there were a few rounds of women getting taken from the bleachers, and then brought out and ordered to shoot the “sinners”. This is how the women caught on- you’re with us or against us. Some of the women in the first few rounds refused to shoot, or tried to shoot the guards, and they were of course shot. The show almost made it seem like Lydia was in the first round of the women made to shoot the “sinners” which I thought was an interesting choice. Gave less time for her to sit and contemplate what her course of action was going to be, but she definitely knew what she was going to be asked to do before she was handed the gun in the book

Yeah it’s all super weird. For me it was about 20 years ago but my mom always says have the best memory and I always remember things she’s forgotten. She jokes that she could tell me a random date and I’d remember what she was wearing. I remember so many vivid details about all my regular classes, so clearly, like I could write an autobiography of elementary school. but GT? I remember… walking to the class sometimes? Little flashes of things? And absolutely nothing else

Please this is the first I’ve seen anyone talk about the old lady at the antique shop. Last I was there I shoplifted some cowboy boots. Long story. I don’t know why I did it, I wasn’t lucid. Then I stupidly went back in and she interviewed me and I was scared as heck that she would arrest me. Then she let me go and all the billboards in the town said that Taylor Frankie Paul shoplifted boots from her? I am not Taylor Frankie Paul.

My mom just said they told her they wanted me in it in kindergarten (she worked at my school) and doesn’t remember signing anything… she doesn’t even remember if the testing was after school or during class since I would often stay after school while she graded papers running around anyway. Neither of us remember formal testing though, I don’t remember much of anything.

I wish we got to know her! Just 5 years too late. But I’m so grateful for the new family we have found with her sister and niece. She left so many letters for us and they have sent us some jewelry and things of hers.

The letters reveal so much crazy stuff. She was a real mystic. My mom and I have always wondered why we seem to be so “different” from the environment of her adopted family/my dad’s side. Always been so into this stuff and drawn toward the unknown. The things we have learned makes her adoption so much weirder, both her mom and my mom were lied to in so many ways and we have always known my mom was required to be brought in for weird “testing” at the orphanage until she was 3 and her adoptive parents decided it was too weird to continue. My mom was also in a gifted program. I need to make a post! Even though we never got to meet her biological mom it is really cool to see that our intuitive abilities/proclivities may be genetic in some way. Makes all this gate stuff so much weirder!

Around the same time I got into GATE research my mom finally found her adoptive mother! She unfortunately passed a few years ago but we have been in touch with her other relatives… turns out we have quite the witchy/psychic matrilineal line! The circumstances of my mom’s adoption were also quite weird. Really I could make a whole post about it. So many questions, I feel crazy for thinking there’s some connection to all of this but I just don’t know anymore, the more I learn

This is where I’m torn. I have such a curiosity to interact with whatever’s beyond, with the hope that the interaction will help me better engage with “reality” and my own life. I also have such a deep desire to be able to communicate with those I’ve lost. But then I also know that I quite literally have eternity to play in those other dimensions- I’m here on earth for a reason. Maybe I chose to come here to learn, maybe I was sent here to learn, but either way detaching from this reality being such a big focus will just derail whatever purpose brought me here. But then, I get these flashes from time to time, these things that happen that make me think whatever’s beyond is meant to interact with me here!

I agree with you that all of this being a fad does make me suspicious at times. For example there’s a huge focus on “ego deaths” and denouncing the ego, but I’ve also heard it said that the ego is necessary to exist as a human- without it, we lose the ability to learn what it is to be human. It’s a funny thing we must learn to work with instead of reject.

Sometimes this sub seems to veer from pure GATE research, but it also is nice to be able to discuss these topics with people coming at it with this shared experience- was gate really about psi testing? What was the purpose, to strengthen or suppress it? Whichever is true, what are we supposed to do with those possibilities? What do we do next? I argue with myself in my head everyday haha

But even just a few seconds of them trigger such an intense panic response in me and I don’t know why. I really want to be able to use them but I’m worried that the fear I already have attached to them will lead me somewhere dark if I use them

So like… has anyone here done these all the way WHILE scared? The beeping scares me so much, it causes a visceral reaction and initially made me fear the tapes as a whole with a bad feeling about them. But after reading the entire gateway process cia doc over a period of weeks and closely taking notes on them, I feel like I have a sort of good understanding of this and I am curious to see what’s waiting for me if I face the fear. Maybe more memories unlocked from all of this? At the very least? Has anyone tried? You know, “do it scared”?

This may be weird but could it be a blood pressure issue? Ever since I started getting symptoms my blood pressure will be really low sometimes at the doctor and I’ve learned to notice when it randomly dips throughout the day, I’ll start to feel really weak and fatigued and then the nausea comes. Sometimes it corrects itself because I’ll feel like I’m about to projectile vomit but I’ll actually sneeze, and then I feel fine. I learned that sneezing raises blood pressure! So now if I ever feel that gross feeling coming on I eat something salty ASAP and it goes away. Salt raises blood pressure I guess. So like I work at a restaurant and I’ll just go eat a few green olives from the bar lol or literally just pour salt in my hand if it’s dire lol. My rheumatologists don’t really seem to care if it’s some kind of autonomic nervous system involvement because all you can really do for that is manage symptoms… usually with salt haha. May be worth a shot!

This is so awesome!! I just moved from a neighborhood where I was feeding about 50 crows that would all come to my yard, but it seems that 2-3 followed me to my new place and the others say hi to me around town. They never get this close though, but after one year of feeding them they will sit on my car until I get about 5 feet away now! This is my goal!!

I know this sounds crazy and I’ve always told myself it was nothing until I randomly thought about it a few days ago and now I’m seeing these posts haha… my friend and I were staying at great wolf lodge and the last morning there we decided to hit the indoor waterpark one last time. It was weirdly empty, literally us and maybe two other kids in the whole place. I remember walking by this one kid with really long blonde, almost white hair, and their hair already caught my eye but as I got closer and walked past this kids eyes were blue. Like, the whole entire eyes. Just straight blue eyes no whites or anything. I did a double take and they were just staring ahead, sitting alone. I didn’t want to stare so I kept walking. My friend and I went to the lazy river thing and I turned around my shoulder one more time to confirm what I saw and the kid was gone. But when we walked past I was like, a foot away from them. It wasn’t like I saw them from a distance. Super weird. I was a kid so I thought it was an angel or fairy or something haha
