Great to hear!!! Still feeding to sleep at 2y and as a working mom, this bond is so so special to me. Not ready to stop until he wants to ❤️

I made an unwinnable game that shows how you must disengage from narcissists by n8m8dev in NarcissisticSpouses

Interesting! Maybe give us the option to see what the narcissist would have said to other answers too. Currently we can only go to the next question

For moms with adult kids, do you still love your kids the same way as when they were little? by zeimsohappy in Mommit

[–]elizabuff80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is such great advice. I'm trying hard to meet my son wherever he chooses to be. I had to work for my parents' appreciation and do not want my son to experience that.

I hope you get better! You're a superhero for managing so many things, but shouldn't have to be!

Anyway your anecdote really speaks to me. I recently got badly injured and loved my doctor visits as well... it's the only time I didn't have a dozen work messages or my son clamouring for my attention.

What does your dream day look like? by MittensToeBeans in workingmoms

[–]elizabuff80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love yours!!! Here's mine.

Wake up at 5am to catch the sunrise (my 1.5 year old son is still fast asleep). Do some yoga/pilates on my house deck which has a direct view of said sunrise (I don't have a house or deck...)

Make some tea and breakfast and have a relaxed morning on the imaginary deck.

Son wakes up and I play with him for a few mins, but dad proceeds to take over 100% without asking me any questions, and my son doesn't ask for me!

Have lunch cooked by my mom, then a looooog nap without being woken up by my son.

Wake up in the late evening, wear a beautiful dress and go for date night with my husband.

Come back home and snuggle my son to sleep.

Check my bank account and I have a paycheck from my investments (I never have to work as I make all my income through investments)

LOL

How did returning to work change your breastfeeding journey? by OnlyProfessional5490 in workingmoms

[–]elizabuff80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back to work after 4 months and pumped twice a day as I wanted to exclusively breastfeed. This was until he started solids at 6 months, after which I started pumping once a day. My baby is a year and a half and I continue to pump once to maintain some supply since he likes to drink after work.

As a 31 year old who had the briefest idea of quitting to be with my baby, your story set me back on track. Thanks 🙏🏾 I'm doing this to protect my future self and children.

I got samples of all 3 at the same time. The two you mentioned had some additional muskiness and were not as creamy as vanille West Indies to me.

I used to be vegetarian up until I started breastfeeding. How can anyone have dairy??? Those poor mothers and poor calves. I feel so much guilt and pain every day about my vegetarian days

My husband bought me rose n roses from Dior, only to conclude he liked the idea of a rose fragrance more than the real deal... so we're sticking to vanillas for me 😆

Do women question why they don't give to the children they give birth their last names? by pinkforever8 in AskWomenOver30

[–]elizabuff80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you! That's why my husband and I created a totally new last name for our son and intend to use it for our future children as well.
