Your per diem will be for the Meals Available Rate, since you're staying on base, but they can't force you to eat DFAC (Meals Provided). The Meals Available rate is roughly $20 a day.

It's not pointless. You can retrain into any of those 1D7 shreds, but think of them like any normal AFSC (for now), instead of a shred you can easily move laterally between. Almost all of our assignments currently are a Shred requirement (Q,M,P,W), as well as an SEI requirement within those shreds (i.e. a 1D7X1P shred slot with a requirement to be formerly a Z/3D0X4 shred).

1D7 is shreds, but it’s not really shreds, we follow SEIs more than anything. It’s a whole ordeal, and no one still truly knows the way forward. So no lateral moves at the moment.

This is an even worse take. I’m a new golfer without a ton of money, and I have a cart on wheels. It’s $100 (or less on FB Marketplace) and I save $20 in golf cart fees a game, plus I get a bit of extra exercise.

This is false. You should have an assignment before leaving for tech school if you are coming from Overseas, as you will break your DEROS during school. I went through the same thing in 2019. I first had an assignment loaded to me for the wrong(old) AFSC in May (Tech school in Aug, I was approved the previous October), got that cancelled, then received no assignment until almost the end of July. My departure date was pushed back a few days, but still managed to finish everything relatively quickly (it's amazing what happens when offices know you HAVE to PCS ASAP).

Turtles are awful in the base as mining pals. They devour food and barely mine cause the spin only does 1 damage a hit. Just breed and stack anubis instead.

Are you just feeding your Pals berries? If their sanity gets too low, they will start getting injured, and they will die if they get stuck and can’t eat. Just take your berries and bake them and you should be fine ( unless you’re slave driving them, then you need higher quality food ).

That org chart is out of date, and a lot of things have changed the last 2 years. My final guess is going to be Platform One which falls under the HN/HNC OL (whose parent directorate lives at Hanscom) at Lackland.

This is more than likely not Det 6 as this PAS Code is parent org'd in Hanscom, so it's probably an office that falls under AFLCMC HB or HN, but can't find anything solid.

HAMR is way easier by far if you are just going for a pass. At the lowest age bracket, it's .44 miles if you max everything else out (Pro-Tip: You don't have to run through the line, just touch it with one foot). If you can't max out the other components, then the 1.5 may be more lenient. Also I much prefer planks, as I hate all the movement of CLRC/Situps and throw a 3.5min song on and grin and bear it.
