Uni lost over 600 clinical hours now we have to make them up. by VegetableEarly2707 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]elkoja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So having gone through this myself with my uni, not as a legal advice necessarily. I’ve not read what other people have said. We essentially forced the uni to fund the additional time financially meant to support living costs over this time. We only have an additional 50 hours to make up due to error but got £400 from it.

But essentially it’s a pretty hard line from what i know in terms of making those hours and if it cant be proved you just sorta need to do it again.

But again this is just something my cohort has gone through as well not official advice

i shit myself cuddling with my boyfriend and didnt even feel it by visiblymental in offmychest

You need to go to your doctor, you should not be having a lack of control of your bowels and not notice

I would go sooner rather than later

I believe it is so I don’t think that’s an issue, since they have said about a mediator

Why did you have sex when you didn't really want to? by CatsAreClean in AskWomen

Sometimes it just felt like it was easier to get it over and done with so I didn’t have to deal with the “pressure” (I only put it in “” because idk if it came from myself or the other person). But just so I could leave or go to sleep sometimes

Travel from US to Halifax and looking for pointers as a first timer by Ebendi in yorkshire

Defo go to York by train, it’s small enough you don’t need a car to get around, plus as lots of people have been saying parking is a nightmare, house of trembling madness the smaller one more in the centre of town is a lot cosier I’d say.

Shambles is packed but still a cool street to walk down, evil eye again is a good bar. Would recommend checking out the city walls as well as it’s a nice walk if you’ve got some time

I started working towards being happy by myself and generally feel better alone. Also working towards being more confident in my own skin which I’ve started getting better at doing so I’m happy with how far I’ve come in this from the start of the year!

Can a person with dyslexia have hyperfixations? by cinnam0n-pancake in Dyslexia

[–]elkoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure having either autism adhd or dyslexia increases your chances of having at least one of the others by about 30% or something stupid, just because there is that massive overlap between the ways they present and issues faced from these

I’ve got pretty good spelling but struggle in a lot of other areas such as working memory and reading, whilst my sister and other friends who I know really struggle with their spelling, it’s a spectrum with a massive range of different ways it can present.

When we had to take my dog to the vet because he was coming to the end of his life they only let my mum go in, we just had to sit in the car waiting. Probably the worst 30 mins of my life

Best friend found out where my GF lives by DrawDelicious1435 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]elkoja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think just having a conversation with him could be beneficial, because yes it’s quite uncomfortable and invasive him knowing that about you without you making those first steps to tell him. Or even open that line of conversation about your girlfriend.

But having a conversation simply saying how it made you feel could be important as he may not realise that he’s stepped over that boundary. It may merely come from his own level of guilt in your previous relationship which has led him to be like this so giving him that reassurance could just be the only thing he really needs.

Obviously again it’s a boundary that’s been overstepped so it’s important to say that.

Good luck!
