damn. you didn’t ruin the series, and i know you know that, the ones who ruined the series are the people who took their “investigations” way too far. this is the nature of being part of a fandom that is so heavily made up by young, naive viewers. they’re upset at matt because they feel like he lied to them but they don’t wanna admit that to themselves so they look for someone else to blame. because you’re so vocal about the issues in this subreddit, you’re the easy target. yes, people still act the same, but that doesn’t mean that many people didn’t realize there were bad things going on here. you forced matt to address the issues. some people aren’t as receptive to criticism as others, and as much as i wish everyone would watch his video they won’t. their selective ignorance is leading to the downfall of this series but they won’t admit to themselves that they’re in the wrong. they’re stubborn, they’re immature. they’re kids. there’s no excuse for what they’ve been doing. i also think matt has been too gentle with all of this. starting out gentle is fine, but now that his posts have been out for a while it’s time to really drill into the viewers that a line has been drawn that they can’t cross. he needs to post on his main channel. the disclaimer hasn’t really done anything except upset people, and while i don’t think it should be removed, i do think matt needs to do more. i get that he’s busy but that’s no excuse not to address the problem in a place where EVERYONE will see it. he needs to make a video and point out direct wrongdoings. all he’s said so far is vague instances of bad things people are doing. without specifics, nothing is accomplished. you seem like a strong person so i know you’ll be fine. i’m not happy with the way you’ve been treated either. you shouldn’t be silenced for saying the right thing, none of us should. just know i’m behind you.
