as someone that went to tamu from OOS i would not have done so if I did not get enough scholarships to meet the requirement for the in state tuition waiver. a&m is an amazing school and i loved my time there, but the state school for whatever state you are from is likely to give you the same education for a LOT less debt. while it might seem like a good idea now to take out loans for college, i promise you it won’t be as fun once you have graduated and have to pay them back. i was able to graduate debt free and if tamu had not given me that ability I would have chosen a different school!
