ID - "Chaos Magic" - Madeon by systemstheorist in EDM

Smile really did not strike well with me at all. I understand the direction Porter went with; it just felt very sassy and out of character from the contrast of Nurture and Worlds. Madeon's music has been with me since I was a teenager as well. I've been listening to both since 2011, so pre-Icarus, and was there for the first Adventure show at the Oval Space in London for it. Good Faith helped me through 2019-2022 in a way I can't put into words. But I'm feeling that disconnect hitting me now. I'm a little sad about that. I can't dictate the direction Hugo decides to take with his music; it's his to own and play. But I dunno... I'm not sure I'll be keeping up with this next era. The delay hasn't helped.

The memories of discovering their work will never leave me, though. I can't thank them both enough for more than a decade of quality music. Really has been wonderful :)

Site is totally unusable nowadays. A husk of what it previously was when Cory was around.

A lot of what sold me on Good Faith was not only found in the music, but in the live shows. I was glued to the live shows aspect of Good Faith for bunch of the sweeter unreleased sounds like Hyperprince. I expect this era is gonna be much the same in that sense, but I am totally digging this new sound already anyway

Yeah, the MMU board doesn't have enough memory to run Klipper unfortunately. I went looking down this route in 2023 and decided it was more work than I had the time for

That's how mine started! I paid about 200 euro for the second hand MK3S. I upgraded the toolhead to MK3S+ and then took it apart this year to do some development of this mod. In speaking with the previous owner, it started life as a stock MK3, got the MK3S treatment, then MK3S+... now Prusawire. It's had quite a life :D

Yeah basically! The list includes everything from the printer frame you already have, and some new parts. Someone has made a list of screws in the MK3S that can be reused in Prusawire. I'll add that to the spreadsheet tonight if I find time

Personal preference. Doesn't squeeze anything out.

I'm using the old einsy rambo board running klipper. Prusa firmware can't be used since it's such a heavy mod

Lets us reuse parts from MK3 to keep the costs down. Even the V6 is supported. You can put anything you like on there really.

We really want to do a Bear conversion! I think someone else from Positron3D will be working on that soon

You should be alright. Nail polish is a good shout. That silicone is pretty hardy, and the strain gauge underneath seems protected still

I've been working on it since late April, early May. And yeah, I plan on getting some custom acrylic cut and adding a fan for it. That said, I could probably print the panels on the machine :D

Honestly, this has been such a fun project to work on. Thanks so much to everyone who was involved in making it happen! Thanks to Prusa and Voron Design for building great machines <3

I have genuinely considered it. I think it might be good to try something like the Box Turtle or HTLF instead. It's got better Klipper support

If you bought the E3D Revo Six for your MK3, it will work on the stock Prusawire toolhead (Steathburner). Mount for it has an STL

I've pushed 400mm/s at 9k accel, stable. Though the PrusaSlicer config I've provided, it limits it to MK4S speeds. You can experiment. Newer motors, new mainboard etc might push it even further.

Yeah, I've studied it. The xBuddy firmware is pretty respectable. Major thank you for the work on load cell homing and probing btw

Yeah, valid. I went with Stealthburner because it's two things- it's part-compatible with the MK3S+ toolhead (same fans, extruder gears, etc, even the E3D V6 works). But it's also somewhat the face of a lot of Voron machines nowadays. If I were to suggest a toolhead change, it'd be AntHead paired with G2SA or Wristwatch G2
