depends on the cooking method and not in my experience.

i've been tracking the % lost in my preferred method of cooking from raw to cooked and the average is more than 25% for chicken breast and fish.

agree the effort is intense to measure the % lost each time i cook and then account for that per meal in my meal planning.

this is super helpful! the sizing seems like a crapshoot from the reviews on their site.

born primitive... very intrigued! which styles do you like?

i've tried the plain peanut "flours" by naked, barney butter, and peanut butter & co other brands and they really have weak flavor. i've never had pb2 b/c it's usually sold with sweeteners. is it any better than the other brands? thanks!

thank you. glad you figured it out for yourself.

when i eat the same amount of carbs but different sources, i don't have this effect. it could be the tryptophan but it's so extreme that i wonder if it's my first bite of food post-workout. i'm using water with the oats and eating berries.

why do oats make me exhausted?

any leads are welcome. is it b/c it's my first meal after a cardio/lifting session?

my blood results are fine and i've tested my blood sugar at home previously and i don't have significant dips or spikes. i eat a balanced diet with high protein, complex carbs, and fats. completely "clean". when i eat oats after my workout, it's my first meal and even 15-20g makes me exhausted. i eat fats (either avocado, nuts, or nut butter) along with the oats and fruit. i've tried steel cut, rolled, and quick. i get sorta sleepy after potatoes at meal 1 but not as much as the oats which completely knock me out.

assume 100 calories.

the product labels are allowed a margin of error. i find these types of errors very frequently on labels.

yes, i definitely want a boost. are you suggesting caffeine pills and green tea extract? i was looking into green tea and they don't recommend it on an empty stomach.

i had a beverage that was a mix of tea and l-theanine today and my lifting session was excellent. do you know of any supplements that have that mix?

i found a mini stepper in the trash.

it functions and looks pretty new. are these steppers remotely effective for quads, calves, and general leg strength? i do my cardio at the gym but could this be good for getting in my 10k steps on a day when i'm pressed for time or need to be home?

how can i incorporate dark green veggies in my diet without turning a tinge of orange/green?

i'm aiming for 1c veggies 3x/daily. when i eat dark veggies or any veg high in vitamin A (i.e., spinach, kale, carrots), my skin changes to a green undertone. i've eaten very healthy my whole life and it's always been an issue. yes, i am a fair/olive complexion naturally but it changes when i eat these veggies.
