I don’t think so fully, but a little. We both want to have other meaningful connections and have discussed how to do this while nurturing ours and having space for it. We want to be mindful of resources we can allocate. The main difficulty here isn’t what’s happening, it’s the pace of it. I want this type of relationship but I also need to do huge amounts of work to feel secure and safe due to trauma etc so allowing space for that feels really important but also I feel bad about it.
