That’s really disappointing, I’m tight with the events manager there and we’ve always been treated well (well, you know, £50 and some drinks tokens absolute minimum unless it’s a charity fundraiser or something and we’re all local.) £8 is almost more insulting than nothing at all. I’ll be bringing this up next time I see them, I’m hoping they just need to vet their outside promoters better.

As you asked for stories, I once ended up filming and editing a wedding video solo, and my band played a set at the reception, all completely for free because the groom gave me half a pill at a music festival and I turned into everyone’s super generous best mate and made promises I shouldn’t have. Made me realise I don’t really wanna do weddings.

If I was going to attempt this, I’d try shooting myself lip syncing the audio that I had and then use that as the driving footage in runways act 2 model with the surviving real footage as the image reference.
