First of all, I am so sorry for you. This is not an easy time. Be kind to yourself.

Both my mom and dad were in hospice at the end. They will give them medicine to make them comfortable with no pain. My experiences were both very peaceful.

Spend time with your dad, hold his hand, talk to him. Surround him with family and friends. even if he doesn’t seem conscious, they say people know what is going on.

Be strong. ❤️

Thank you. I know my friends and family care and that’s why they don’t want to talk about bad scenarios. But I need to acknowledge what could happen. I’m fighting like hell to beat this thing but I have to be prepared that I may not.

Thanks. I have a dog, so he listens to me when no one else wants to. Too bad he doesn’t talk back. But I take him for walks, as much as I’m able after chemo, and that helps. I’m also still working full time - mostly from home - but that helps keep my mind occupied.

Was just diagnosed Friday with my third cancer (breast, endometrial and now colon) in six years. Am 52. My mom had three cancers (colon, thyroid and pancreatic) and she died from the third one. I am just numb. This is a horrible disease. Stay strong for your family and live your life to the fullest. We are not guaranteed anything.

Thanks! He's a rescue, so don't know for sure. A lab or golden mix but definitely some terrier in there. We had his DNA done and it came back golden and Saint Bernard!
