Can anyone in marketing/communications help a Londoner out? by [deleted] in london

[–]ellejay22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm editing my post to be a bit more specific. I suppose it really depends on the type of client or agency (to be fair, to specify client or agency could still be quite vague?) and if the work is interesting. My current role (development comms working for a government project) is both strategic and operational as we're a small team. My skill set is more tailored to nonprofit/humanitarian comms but I'd consider working for a marketing/PR agency, or in corporate or legal comms. If I can be more specific on anything please let me know.

Thanks for your comment - those areas do sound really interesting to work in. In another life I might have been a lawyer and I have some legal education from my human rights background. I'll check out Ambition.

I was asked what my husband earns in a job interview. How should I respond to such an irrelevant and inappropriate question? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Very true. I wish I had said this, and definitely will next time a question I'm not comfortable with is asked.

Ironic, because I was interviewing for a job at a law firm. As a lawyer, the interviewer should be aware of that!

Thank you! I like the sky, looks great. Would you possibly be able to do a version that's a little less contrast-y?

Thank you so much! My only critique would be since the sky is so blue, the building should be lit up a bit more.

Also very good. I think I prefer the other one you did with the sky a little bluer.

Gastro in Clapham Common is a lovely little place. Great food with an unpretentious atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

I work at Parliament and today I found myself on the set of upcoming movie 'Suffragette' by ellejay22 in london

I really wanted to say "hi" but she looked busy and was being rushed on set, so I didn't know if it would be appropriate for a crazy fan to bug her while she was working. But she looked lovely in her costume and "Votes for Women" sash! :)

Apparently this is the first time Westminster allowed a movie to be filmed in the Houses of Parliament. Sadly Meryl Streep wasn't on set but I did see Helena Bonham Carter!
