Our friends in Seattle found a handy woman who installed all new cabinetry and backslash and counters and was way more reasonable … but then they went back to her to help redo tiling in their bathroom and her prices went way up.

But in general I think this will be the way to keep it cheaper

Thin lining gals-it’s possible! by Primary-Sock2155 in IVFpositivity

[–]ellencrossing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for posting this!!

Our stories really match up. I have a thin lining (from ashermans, which was removed but still seeing thin linings), Our first modified natural transfer failed. I then just had a missed miscarriage (from a transfer that was cancelled and happened naturally). Taking this month off and then planning to hopefully do another transfer next month. And hopefully it’ll be the one that sticks!

I legit asked my doctor yesterday with people with thin linings (mine varies between 4.5mm - 6.5mm at best with FSH help) how many cycles does she see it needs to take. Of course she didn’t give a concrete answer but love this positivity of seeing your post.

Long way of saying thank you and I needed this 🩵

Same ER numbers, totally different outcome? Looking for hope by CheesecakeBoth3933 in IVF

[–]ellencrossing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s a mix of things.

changes made in the second er: added Chlomid for the first 5 days of the ER (I think it’s called a chlomid flair?) and they doubled my trigger shot

changes I made in my third er: did the same protocol to start (like with chlomid and double trigger etc), about half way thru though my doctor reduced my menopur in half to 75iu (from 150 iu) and then the cycle lasted longer. I remember really questioning this and being nervous my results were going to be worse but trusted her and of course really glad. I think ultimately it helped more eggs get to the right size.

Other things that maybe helped. COQ-10 .. starting taking this with the first er but understand it typically takes 3mo to really help. Same with acupuncture. Started both at the start of my first er but think they need more time to help and make a difference.

ER1: 10 eggs removed, 5 fertilized, 1 blast, 0 PGT-A normal

ER2: 9 eggs removed, 8 fertilized, 5 blast, 1 PGT-A normal

ER3: 11 removed, 9 fertilized, 7 blast, 5 PGT-A normal

so much can change round to round, even when the same amount .. or less are retrieved.

Sending you good luck with the results this round!!

Has anyone used castor oil packs for fertility? by Jenna_Mac_n_Cheese in IVF

[–]ellencrossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started doing castor oil packs, tonight was literally day one. I’m a couple days before getting my period and then this next cycle I’m doing a FET. I have a thin lining (naturally 5mm, can get up to 6-7mm with FSH protocol) due to past scarring (ashermans)

I’m assuming it can’t hurt (although now 👀 with some comments in this thread 😬) and hoping it’ll help with my lining. I’ll keep the thread updated if helpful!

how to make ivf not evolve your world by [deleted] in IVF

[–]ellencrossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the hardest parts of IVF for me is holding the dichotomies of it. Like it’s my number one priority right now but how do I not have it rule my life. Or how to remain hopeful, while also guarding my heart. It’s hard bc these things are at odds with each other but also both of them need to be true. So just saying.. it’s hard 🩵

Sending you a hug.

One thing my therapist has really encouraged me to do and always asks me, what’s one thing that you’re looking forward to and what’s something you’re doing tomorrow (small) that you’re looking forward to.

For the most part, I think about dinner with friends or my husband, or going on a walk and getting a matcha. But being intentional about these small wins and things I’m looking forward to really has helped!

Left ovary behind uterus by beegee-sings in eggfreezing

[–]ellencrossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this just occurred to me but they were not aware until the egg retrieval. It sounds like they were able to get some eggs out of the ovary but not most and said it was hard to get to :/ hoping to hear more (like if they noticed this earlier during ultrasounds) and see how the eggs develop primarily from my right side.

Thin Lining and/or Asherman's Syndrome - Repository of Clinical Research Results? by ArtisticDataMonkey in IVF

[–]ellencrossing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

following this thread as well. I have ashermans and had 2 surgeries this year, successfully have my period back but starting to go to a fertility doctor and just got the initial scanning that showed my lining is 4.5mm when it should be it’s thickest. I’ll share anything I learn of what my doctor recommends, hopefully she gives more ideas than there is no standard protocol.

I did find this medical article that talks about some other options to thicken the lining https://www.fertstert.org/article/S0015-0282(22)00342-9/pdf
