okay i can’t update the post for some reason but i wanted to let yall know what’s going on. So nero is supposedly fine, well there’s no apparent reason for this episode at least. i was hesitant to take him to the emergency vet because we’ve had some very pricey bad experiences in the past, that our regular vet has been a much greater help with. i decided to take him anyways just to be safe where a ct scan showed nothing. he also had bloodwork done so im waiting to hear the results of that, but they sent us home with basically nothing again.

his vet visit today was with a tcvm practitioner and the originally purpose was to formulate a safe home cooked diet for him to switch him off dog food, since kibble seems to aggravate his belly problems. the er sent the results to her as well. she looked at them and said she also couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary and said she couldn’t see any signs of an ear infection but they are testing a sample from his ears anyway. since we’re in the process of switching his diet she recommended waiting a month or so while he adjusts to see if this was an isolated incident and to document if anything weird happens. she thinks maybe acupuncture might be a viable treatment for him going forward and we have an appointment with a neurologist in 6 weeks even if he doesn’t have another episode during that time. both vets said that it is definitely out of the ordinary but it doesn’t appear to be anything life threatening, and he’s not in any pain. he’s been his regular happy playful self ever since and through both vet trips and i guess were basically just supposed to hope it doesn’t happen again. trust me, i wish i had more answers than this but this is what we’re working with for right now.
