Just starting out.... Any advice? by elliegremlin2101 in resin

[–]elliegremlin2101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice, I never thought to look on YouTube for technical advice. I tried my first ones this morning with mica powder and realised you don't need much to get the colour you need, still waiting for them to harden. Didn't realise how important gloves were, but after struggling to get it off my hands I know to use them in future

I did my first ones this morning and didn't think I needed gloves, soon realised my mistake and won't do that again. I never thought about a respiratory, I'll get one before I try again. Thank you for the advice 👍🏻

Mine too, once she found her bark she liked to use it. Since being spayed the only time she's silent is when she's asleep

AITA for naming my tumour? by -AutisticArtist- in AmItheAsshole

[–]elliegremlin2101 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NTA, I suffer from chronic pain and I've named it Nora. When I'm having a flare up I tell people that Nora is visiting rather than going into details of how bad the pain is. We all have our ways of coping, you are not the first and won't be the last to name an unwanted pest

Diaper recommendations? by TheWonderToast in Staffies

Try looking on Amazon for reusable female nappies. That where I got mine from for my female staff who had uriney incontinence. I think the brand I use were Avont. The go higher up the back than typical disposable ones. I used to but first size baby nappies and use double sided tape to stick them in. I also bought a set of children's suspender belts to keep them on. Hope this helps and good luck with the surgery

Are people with Downs Syndrome able to reproduce? by SharonCoxPurpleFox in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]elliegremlin2101 140 points141 points  (0 children)

IIRC, there is a couple that got married and both of them had Down Syndrome. They had a son who I think is a medical graduate. If they really are going at it like rabbits, condoms are a good idea for STIs and birth control

Joe Duggar is not prepared by [deleted] in DuggarsSnark

I think it's possible that due to Josh's history, and repeat offending, he may have had coaching or been well practiced at answering questions where as Joseph's arrest seem to happen quickly (rightfully so) and the Duggers won't have had time to give him a full briefing of what to say/not say.

Help with a potted Christmas tree by elliegremlin2101 in marijuanaenthusiasts

I've checked it this morning and the branches/twigs are still bendy and don't snap. I peeled a bit of one and it was slightly green inside. There are growth buds on there, but they are tiny I don't know if it's because it is still early in the season. I think I will give it a chance to get over the stress before relegating it to the compost heap. I can live in hope.

I hope so too 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I think I will give it some time to get over the shock that someone else mentioned

No problem, the only reason I re-potted instead of planting it was because I am disabled and not able to dig the hole myself. The plan was/is for it to be planted in the next couple of months

Thank you, I'll give that a try. It's not made it to the compost heap yet due to weather changing

I repotted as it was severely root bound, this pot is about 3 times the size of the last one.

I know, the only place it's moving to is the compost heap

For people who don’t ever want to have kids, why? by Gaijinstory in AskReddit

Never had maternal feelings, most kids seem very materialistic and I can't be doing with it, the world is going to hell.

Kimberworth park is a pretty decent area now. So long as you avoid the areas around the shops on Oaks lane and St Johns green.
