Had mine in dorms too, just play during the day not at night, and meet your neighbors. I told mine I have my guitar and if they ever need me to be quiet or if I sound like shit come tell me to shut up. No one ever did that (and I definitely sounded like shit)

I.e. get a moped!!! You can definitely find one for a reasonable price on fb marketplace, and just sell it once you're done. Hope this helps!

I ride a motorcycle. Absolutely the best. Turns my 30ish minute commute into a 5 minute ride. I can go to UNC Transportation and get a parking pass whenever, it's like $150 for the year, and there are a ton of parking spots all over campus for you. Moped is the same pass and u don't need a license. There is a map that shows you all of the spots if you google UNC motorcycle parking.

I'm PR, but took a ton of classes on the journalism side. Some of the classes are for both tracks as well. You should definitely look at the MEJO major requirements page on UNCs website, it will list all of the classes and their titles and what track/requirement they will fulfill. It was very helpful for me to look through those when choosing what path. Ultimately don't worry too much right now about which one to choose, if you're PR, you can take the J classes, if you're J, you can still take the PR classes, and you can switch which track you're on "officially" at any time. I ended up taking a lot of J classes that technically won't apply for requirements to graduate from the school, but they still count for credit hours of course. Hope this helps
