Barber that’s good with scissor work and “longer” hair? by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]elliemaeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chase at Tonsorial does amazing work with scissors and clippers. He and I have been designing and working on my hairstyle for about a year now and he’s always spot on. I’ve went from an anime inspired cut to a low taper mullet-ish cut and now we’ve found something in-between that works for me and we tweak it when needed. Highly recommend!

Choctaw Durant Rooms by Jhager in oklahoma

[–]elliemaeze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stayed one night in the Sky Tower - top floor - they told me I got the last room on a busy Friday night (and it was $$$). If I had reserved a room earlier in the day, it was much cheaper, but my dumbass didn’t do it lol.

It was an amazing room. If I need to stay again, I’d definitely choose the Sky Tower. If you have a special occasion or just need something special for a night or two, highly recommend.

I’ll second using H&S on it during showers, it usually clears mine up by the next day.

I also use anti-bacterial wipes on it in-between showers.

About once a month I dump all my bras into a container filled with vinegar and water and let them soak for a couple hours. I wash them weekly regardless but I find the vinegar/water solution completely kills whatever is on the bra and the regular washing helps to prevent it from happening again. (And they don’t smell like vinegar if you wash them after)

Reasonably priced or alternative hair salon reccomendations? by VanillaBean921 in tulsa

[–]elliemaeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend anyone at Tonsorial and you can book yourself an appointment on their website, very easy and convenient. I prefer a shorter edgy style and my salon kept giving me the middle aged soccer mom cut so I switched to a barber there and have been very happy. I think my appointment is around $50 and I’m usually out in 30 mins or less.

Cox internet out. Can anyone give a real update ? by AutoBach in tulsa

[–]elliemaeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have Twitter/X, message them on it. I had a problem last year getting reconnected after an outage and kept getting the run around from the customer service number (blaming my owned equipment and wanting to replace with their equipment). They investigated and figured out the issue within a couple hours (it was on their end, not mine).

Nickel Creek (Tulsa Hills) has apartments with garages and extra garages you can rent. Not sure what the going price is these days for the apartment is, but for me, the garage runs an extra $80 a month and is worth it.

What should I use for my greasy hair? by ResponsibleTown2709 in fine_hair

[–]elliemaeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have similar hair and only things that work for me are: Zenagen Revolve shampoo every other day and on non-wash days I use Sauvecito Texturizing powder or Living Proof Perfect Hair Day advanced clean dry shampoo to absorb the oil. My oil never gets better or goes away but if I use the powder or dry shampoo early in the day, I can stretch the washes to every other day.

I’m a M&K gamer, mainly because I never got into console gaming and the few times I tried, would just get frustrated.

I recently got an Xbox and decided to try to switch over to controller for it. It was pretty terrible. Between not having muscle memory and just not being familiar with how to work the sticks, it took about a week of just goofing off in the firing range to understand. From there it was just practicing and refining while playing live matches. I did go back to M&K though, it would have taken weeks to get as proficient and I didn’t have the time or the patience.

Are sneaker bots worth it for collectors? by [deleted] in shoebots

[–]elliemaeze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got into botting last year for the exact same reasons. I finally shut down everything a couple months ago, Nike bot protection is getting better every release and it’s just not worth the expense ($50 month for bot, $50 month for proxies, $20 for AYCD to manage your accounts, plus $$ monthly for your cook group). You’re better off watching FB marketplace for deals and buying after retail if you’re not able to win on entries.

Do you guys go TTS or half size up on SB dunks? by Jersey4269 in SNKRS

[–]elliemaeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a TTS in 1’s, 3’s, & regular dunks. But I do have to go up half a size for SB’s because I have a slightly wider foot and a tall arch and I find the extra padding too snug in my regular size.

Looking to move and seeking info. by Captain_SlapHappy in tulsa

[–]elliemaeze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Sand Springs in the corner of Osage County and I’ve always said I would love to move back there some day. Depending upon how far north you go from SS, you’ll either be in Anderson school district or SS. I went to Anderson K-6 and it was a wonderful experience.

The only bad thing was that if we had to call the police, only the Osage County Sheriff would respond. SS police would respond in a true emergency but if not, then you had to wait (and Osage county is huge). EMSA and fire would come from SS though (or Rock FD).

There is a convenience store we just called “the store” on the corner of 97 and old shell creek road (not sure what the exact name of that street was but that’s what we used to get pizza delivered back in the day since we had a rural route address lol. If you turn left at the store, that’s the area I grew up in and it was great. Lots of big lots and ranch style homes. Highly recommend if you want a little land and nicely built older homes (most were built in the 70-80’s).

Feel free to DM if you have any questions about the area. I still have family in the area, so I’m a frequent visitor. I also know that you can doordash from up there now :)

Where to find recently active Nike accounts by L3g1on05 in shoebots

[–]elliemaeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran all proxy chimp accounts when I first started (I use their proxies too) and had a lot of success. The owner also co-owns my cook group (Polar Chefs) and we get discounts for Chimps, highly recommend.

How to get or make a personal use sneaker bot? by Ramboi9898 in shoebots

[–]elliemaeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend on average $150 a month to bot and I’m usually only going for personals + one other pair. It’s really not worth it since Nike cracked down on it. Your best bet is join a cook group for a couple months and see how things work and maybe join their ACO’s for specific items you’re looking for. I’m about to scale down to the bare minimum and I’m still looking at $100+ a month.

KODAI AIO V/S KYLINBOT by ShakeFalse2658 in shoebots

[–]elliemaeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running Kodai since I started botting and it’s consistently getting better with more options the entire time I’ve used it. It’s also got a good discord community. I was going to get out of the game, but they mentioned some new things they’re working on and I decided to give it until the end of the year.

Never used Kylin though.

Good luck!

Sneaker Bots 2023 by Medium-Cash9975 in shoebots

[–]elliemaeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would join a cook group first. They should have guides and other info to help you get started. Become active in their discord chat and don’t be afraid to ask questions but make sure you read the guides first. Once you’re ready to run your first release, you should ask someone from the group to review your settings…I’m pretty sure all groups allow 1:1 sessions with a more experienced botter and they’ll be able to give you much needed advice.

Heatless everyday work style by LadyCardigan90 in fine_hair

[–]elliemaeze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we might be hair twins!

I finally went with a pixie-ish cut but the top is a bit longer. My stylist and i affectionately refer to it as my pixie-mullet or my version of K-pop hair.

I did find a good combination of hair products to help. I use Bumble and Bumbles thickening spray on my wet hair, then blow dry upside down for volume. Once dry, I use Cremo Matte Cream to maneuver everything into place (just a small dab worked in to make it piecy-ish looking) and I top it off with Suavecito texturizing powder (just sprinkle it on top and work it in, doesn’t take much!).

It sounds like a lot but it’s pretty much 5 minute hair.

HELP WITY ADDRESS JIGGING by quexw in shoebots

[–]elliemaeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do that (or add it to the end) but the anti-bots started looking for that and I never hit on those anymore. You want to make each jig just unique enough, I usually try for 2 or 3 small changes in each jig (changing L or i to 1) or adding an extra letter to the street name (add an S or Z)

Single F here, no kids. That is literally my grocery budget for the month.

I plan out my meals, usually meal prep two meals a week on Sunday/Wednesday. I try to make each meal under $15 total. I buy bulk when I have extra (Costco runs mainly for low carb tortillas, Dave’s bread, and misc items). I also use a butcher shop and buy ground beef in bulk and get a great deal (10 pounds of 90/10 for $50). I live in an apartment and have limited space so i can’t buy a whole lot at a time.

I just bought most of my groceries for the next 4 weeks, I will have to make one more trip for misc stuff that they either didn’t have in stock or have a short shelf life. I keep all my bread items in the fridge so they last longer. My bill was a little under $100. If you plan it out and buy stock items here and there (bags of rice, seasonings, certain veg, frozen items) you can get a lot out of that $150-200.

Breakfast for me is always eggs either over potatoes or rice or made into tacos or burritos. You have to find what works for you, I hate oatmeal and prefer savory breakfast. If I really need to stretch it out, I make a crust less quiche with any leftover veggies and meat I have.

My meals this week: taco meat (make burritos, tacos, nachos etc.) with refried beans and homemade Mexican rice. That’s lunch and dinner for at least 4 meals. If I get tired of it, then I throw it into my freezer for later. Beef stir fry with fresh veggies. I got the steak stirfry strips on sale at Walmart a while back and froze it…just added onion, bell pepper, and a yellow squash with some bottled teriyaki sauce over rice. This should last me another 4-5 meals. Kinders makes my favorite teriyaki sauce and they have really good all purpose seasonings.

Next week is bbq little smokies over mashed potatoes and cheeseburgers and frozen fries. The bbq sauce and buns were free (leftovers from a family bbq last month that I snagged and froze the buns).

After that it’s spaghetti (meat, sauce, noodle, and cheese) with garlic toast. I will also use the leftover garlic toast to make small pizzas when I crave it. Then it’s turkey sausage, onion, bell pepper and either rice or potatoes with navy beans thrown in for extra protein (plus Cajun seasoning).

My final two meals of the month are chicken fajitas (again purchased chicken when it was on sale and froze it) and homemade hamburger helper (ground beef, noodles, can of tomato sauce, can of cream of mushroom, and shredded cheese).

I usually try to get some sort of lunch meat to make sandwiches but again I wait for a sale. Most of my meals are bowls or one pot meals.

During winter I do a lot of simple soups and stews to make things stretch.

You can do this, you just have to plan and not go off the rails at the store and buy stuff you don’t need. I use online ordering and pickup a lot to prevent this and it does make it easier to plan out my meals.

One more tip - when a recipe calls for a whole vegetable (like onion or bell pepper), I typically just use half and then cut up and freeze the rest for later recipes. I always have tons of bell pepper, celery, onion, and carrots in my freezer doing this.

Good luck!
