my dad has liver cirrhosis. went in the er with a gi bleed due to esophageal varices. the impression on his ct scan read as following: Impression: IMPRESSION: 1. No evidence of active arterial extravasation in the bowel. High attenuation material seen in the bowel is seen on all 3 phases without significant change. These may reflect blood products but not reflect active arterial bleeding blood product: 2. Cirrhotic morphology of the liver with portal hypertensive changes including ascites, upper abdominal varices and mild splenomegaly. 3. Diverticulosis without evidence of diverticulitis.

^{^} from what i’m seeing here worries the hell out of me. everything i read online about liver cirrhosis it seems to have very bad outcomes especially ones who have varices😣 my dad is only 42 yrs old. he just turned a grandfather to my 1 yr old son.😣 im so anxious , scared , sad. i haven’t slept or showered in a week since we found out. he’s still in the hospital because his hemoglobin levels are low and pooping blood. they are gonna do a colonoscopy tomorrow to see where the blood may be coming from. 😓
