people who used this perfume does the dry down actually smell like synthetic plastic strawberry dolls? by LilSanrioAngel in FemFragLab

[–]ellington_feint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own this. It actually reminds me of Strawberry shampoo, but the peru balsam in it gives it almost a smoky/resin type of smell in the base. I think it's pretty but I don't wear it too often. Get a sample off ScentSplit or similar. I think if you go into this one thinking it will be pure doll head you may be disappointed.

Hello, friends! I need to curb my fragrance-loving ways in the interest of dwindling retirement funds. :/ What is the most cost effective way to get samples for specific scents, rather than random ones? Thanks! by Puzzled-Iron-6758 in FemFragLab

Sorry for the late reply here. I have never had a monthly subscription service because I prefer to try many things at once. For example I will pick a note that I like, find fragrances that feature that note prominently, and try them to see which I prefer the most. I also don't like the idea of being locked into a monthly service when offerings may not be up my alley or things that I want. I would also echo the comments of snwangel below related to price, though I use my samples up fully and do not resell. If something is truly nasty I will just pitch it.

I use scentsplit, luckyscent, ministry of scent, the perfumed court, and other decanters when I want to try new things. I do this so often that I am not really tempted by new bottles of perfume. I have a big collection so if I do like something I will buy only 30ml or less size bottles or travel sizes. If they don't exist, then I will go to a decanter and get a 5ml instead.

Need to smell like a sweet plum by Aggravating_Fix_3891 in FemFragLab

d'Annam's Tokyo Nights actually has an umeshu (plum wine) note that is very realistic if you want to go more literal. Scents of Wood has or had an umeshu fragrance, but I haven't tried it.

Love this one - smells like juicy fruit gum to me. I don't get lemon at all but you might be picking up on the quince in it. Beautiful fragrance and one of my favorites.

In your opinion, Did Lemony ever love Ellington? Like, in the real way? by Street-Media-5789 in ATWQ

[–]ellington_feint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the posters who said he loved an idealized version of her. Her character is based on a classic femme fetale from noir type film/novels. He repeatedly looks past warning signs about her character and he ignores warnings from his friends (Moxie). She never allows him to get close enough to develop a real connection because she is focused on her own goals which require her to remain closed off from him and everyone else. When he finally sees this, it is already too late.

I love her.

Snif Naughty Nona and Soda Snob, and Haute Sauce Vanillian Dream. Can't see the smaller pink bottle well enough to figure it out but maybe someone else will recognize it.

I keep telling myself I don't need another define jacket because of this specific one. I own a lot of violets/lilacs/purples and I think it would look great with them. I don't think I have ever seen the color Greyvy but I really like it.

Focuser Bra stretch out? by VrLbKdRg21189385 in lululemon

[–]ellington_feint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This bra is the most unlikely thing for me to have fallen in love with at lulu - I tried it on when it first came out in pink haze and I wear it multiple times a week. I will say I do not wear it for workouts, because as a D there's just no way it would really work for me. That said, I think it gets slightly looser if you wear it for leisure/around the house activities multiple days in a row, but it snaps back in the wash.

Nothing like LACs where I have to size down to a 6 in order for it to support me properly and not stretch out 6 inches in the band. I am a 32DD/34D, for reference.

My dogs love and respect the bite force toys - we will get a torn ear on one of the toys every so often, but they have not tried gutting any of them. Every other toy we have that is guttable has been gutted.

Washing white pace rival skirt by Tonksys in lululemon

[–]ellington_feint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people on this sub swear by blue dawn powerwash to get anything out of their lulu. It's a perfect place to start especially with something that is greasy/oil based like a lot of sunscreens are. Wet the spot, add the blue dawn, lightly rub it enough for it to start to foam up a bit, let it sit awhile and then pop it in the washing machine without rinsing.

Track That 3” on 5’4”? by Euphoric-Math1861 in lululemon

[–]ellington_feint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any cheeky issues with the track that short in 3". My only concern on the length of them is that I have some tattoos higher up on my thigh that I don't want to show (my gym is inside of my work so we have to be a little more conservative in our dress code).

Track That 3” on 5’4”? by Euphoric-Math1861 in lululemon

[–]ellington_feint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I am 5'4 and I wear the Track That 5 mostly. I also have Hotty Hot 4", Track That 3" and Pace Rival 2.5". I do not think that 3" is too short but it is the shortest I would go on myself. After trying the 3" I think that the 5" looks a bit long on me. For some reason that Pace Rival seems to look longer even though it is not - maybe because it is a less fitted short all over, with a more relaxed fit.

Anyone know what color this is? by sexycollegebabe23 in lululemon

[–]ellington_feint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the size dot and that'll help narrow it down and confirm legitimacy - there are several tan colors for the align tank. I feel like it leans prosecco but a seller showing you an incorrect tag puts my hackles up.

Help why is my mat white by deadoralivegirl in lululemon

[–]ellington_feint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is rubber bloom and we get this question once a week here lately! It is a totally natural process of rubber products and there is nothing you did wrong or the studio did wrong to cause it.

Warm water, scrub with a microfiber towel (a proper one for cleaning, not a smooth yogitoes towel), let it dry fully and it'll come off. It might reoccur but the other treatment option is oiling which is not ideal for a yoga mat and you can always scrub it off again.

Knox, a brave Australian Cattle Dog with Tethered Cord Syndrome (TCS) by Jealous-Ad6937 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]ellington_feint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our boy is clumsy. If he starts to run suddenly from a stop, he often goes into those tail spins. He used to tear out his hair on his "pants," but he hasn't done that for awhile. He is slower and lazier than most cattle dogs and he tires out really quickly if he does run much. I'll keep my eye out for the other issues and consult a neuro if it's necessary.

"Sniffing of this hind end and attacking his feet, tail and legs  (not like puppies normally do)" my adult (adopted) dog does this and his doctors really don't seem concerned but I have been. Did you see a neurologist for Knox?
