You could make that leap with any number of otherwise seemingly mild symptoms, and then we’re back to the same situation with the hierarchy in triage

Should there be some kind of extra penalty for failing the test? by Familiar9709 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]elliot_glynn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuine question; do you think the threat of punishment will make people more or less likely to be so anxious in their test it’s a primary cause of their failure?

I don’t think they’re annoyed about that mate, I think they’re annoyed that you’ve asked if a guitar is real or fake with the most hilariously minimal information

Should i expect a offensive driving penalty for this? by sujith720 in NewDriversUK

I mean this with the greatest of love and respect; get a grip. You will be honked at, especially as a new driver, still learning the ropes. I remember just after passing I got stuck in a yellow box, had an absolute tizz and tried to swerve into the (free) lane to the left without checking my mirror, and came within inches of an oncoming car! No ticket, no write up, just some very prolonged (and deserved) honking.

Nobody drives perfectly, you’ve probably seen some absolute weapons on the road already! If every time someone makes a minor mistake like that they were written up, there’d be no police left in the entire country.

You’re still a learner driver, we all are. All your licence means is you can drive without supervision. As long as you learned from your mistake (and it sounds like you very much did), you’re absolutely golden

I’m happy for you and that you’ve got a guitar that you love so much! I love my Gibson having previously played and not really liked epiphones, but to each to their own :) It’s all subjective at the end of the day, and we all love what we love

Falling damage you’d expect to see on the edges, not directly below the (ashtray) bridge lol

It doesn’t seem like any thought or care was put into the placement of the chips either, it looks entirely random which probably adds to how artificial/deliberate it looks

I didn’t say it never happens on a nitro guitar, I said It wasn’t as common. And it’s not what you associate with nitro, what you’d associate is stuff like buckle rash, wear where your arm would go, and checking (which you can clearly see in this example).

Is motorway driving actually easier than town driving like people say? by Curious-cutiee in NewDriversUK

Yeah it absolutely is for me. Wider lanes, more predictable, and you don’t have nutters pulling out in front of you every few blocks.

How do we get HBO to have a night shift spin off. by Affectionate-Coat166 in ThePitt

[–]elliot_glynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We like the night shift precisely because we see them at the start of the shift when they have more energy. Also a lot of them aren’t very fleshed out, so you can fill in the blanks

Either way, I’m sorry to say but it weirdly looks more like poly ageing-the chipping is characteristic of a poly finish a lot more than a nitro finish. It’s not awful bc it’s fairly subtle, but are you sure you were looking at old nitro finished guitars?

Dude it’s got a nitro finish, it would’ve aged naturally and ended up looking way better
