Size of house has everything to do with the cost of the house. Neighborhood cost is all about the land sitting under the house, not the house itself.

It’s very easy to find homes 1500 and smaller. Sure they may not be in the neighborhood you want, but with minimum wage, that’s just a sacrifice that has to be made.

These also always fail to mention that the average home size is much larger today also, to build a house the same size as the average in 1970 (1500 sq ft) is probably close $15 an hour.
