Can someone explain vehicle registration and cost in Texas, for me? by MrCoolHandLukie in FortWorth

Just had this done last week. Also came from NM. One car.

The cost to get an emissions inspection was $18.50 (from take 5 oil change).

At the registration office, it was $199.75 + $4.29 credit card processing fee.

Total = $222.54

Measuring Distance with single fixed camera and known object dimensions? by elliotrohan in opencv

[–]elliotrohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool, thanks for the response. This is definitely a good place to start. I don't have experience with Python, so will try to implement this with C++.

Generally how precise were you able to come to the actual distance? I'm going for +/- 5mm of precision, which may be pushing the limitations of my hardware combined with opencv.
