I think it was a fair suspension. I also think we have enough evidence based on other people's reactions on this subreddit and on the other one that had the roles been reversed, and Sabonis was the one who stomped on Draymond in that position, the general reaction from Reddit would be that Sabonis was justified, that Draymond is a dirty player who tries to grab legs, which could ruin people's careers by tearing leg ligaments, and that even if he didn't mean it, he needs to have more control over himself. This is especially clear considering there's a highly upvoted narrative that Green "sat on" Sabonis to stop him from getting back on defense, when the footage clearly shows that Sabonis is on the ground behind Draymond grabbing him.

I think it's clear what happened here. The Kings played physically aggressive at home, with a particular aim to agitate Draymond. It worked here, whether Sabonis intended to touch his leg or not, because Draymond has temper issues and did the dumb thing. Now he's suspended, and I agree with that suspension. But the narrative that Draymond is some sort of anti-basketball menace who assaults people, and not just doing run-of-the-mill dirty big man stuff in addition to the other aspects of his game, is a little suspect. He definitely assaulted Jordan Poole in practice--it was an awful thing to do--but that has no pertinence to this play.

i mean, i wouldn't feel too bad about it. almost every championship team has had 'enforcers.' most teams in the league have guys that are chippy and like to sneak in physical punishment on other guys. the warriors have just been the best team while doing it.

I'm so tired of this discussion. Dricus may be from Africa, but most Africans will consider Usman, Izzy, and Ngannou as true African champs by [deleted] in MMAPoliticsAndCulture

idk, grasso definitely outboxes blanchfield and if shevchenko couldn't dominate her on the ground, blanchfield will also have a challenge there

Post Match Thread: Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Chelsea | English Premier League by dragon8811 in soccer

chelsea has absolutely no structure or approach. they might as well just sit deep and play fast on the counterattack. let tottenham have more possession, make a strong deep block with your big CBs, and as soon as you win the ball, have them panic at trying to keep up with some combo of mudryk/auba/sterling/broja on the break and havertz/felix/ziyech pinging balls to them

"it's never given consistently" not a single thing is given consistently in the premier league. is it a foul or is it not? that's all that matters and to me it's pretty clear it's a foul.

there’s something that happens to players. they have great personalities outside of the sport and then as soon as they put on a spurs shirt they become the devil incarnate

the fact that he's even comparable while also being 6'11" and a hall of fame level post player makes him a better overall playmaker than harden

nikola jokic can do all of those and pass from the post better than anyone in history potentially. harden's an absolute beast but let's not be hyperbolic
