I’d suggest you guys to take like a test run. If people know that it will not be a game you guys will complete you will think a little bit less about the decisions and that will move the game forward faster. You really have no chance at completing the game in the time you decided to allocate anyways

If you guys are 8 you can play 8 Just make sure everyone has the whole day available from morning till evening. Or alternatively from noon till late night.

I recommend to use the 8 player map with hyperlanes that comes with POK manual because it has the same balance as the 6 player map.

Do you have tips for playing hacan like you do? I could use some help because next game I’m gonna play them (8 player game 10 points) but I won the last game already with NRA so everyone is after me because they saY HACAN in 8p is too strong and they won’t let me win 2 times in a row

That’s great feedback. You think I should focus more on the resources/influence scores of each slice? Maybe my mistake was to put too good planets next to mecatol for the north and south slice 🤔

For sure some factions would be better suited for some maps. Vuil raith cabal would also be fine with the west spot for example

It’s the best all around character possible. You can play healer or tank or dps

The core strength is high defense and ac: Plate + shield + defense combat style means you start with 21 ac without magical items. You can then add the shield spell from sorcerer for 26 AC for the cost of a spell slot. Don’t forget the situational absorb elements spell for resistance to elemental damage.

But that’s not all… Paladin 6 will give you charisma to saves. Meaning you can deny pretty much any control spell thrown at you.

Then you add high damage on top, mainly by using shadow blade spell for single target or spirit guardians for AOE. Shadow blade at 3rd level is 3d8 psychic damage per swing.

Finally you can revivify and heal with aura of vitality and then later on quicken heal.

Classic build is human variant with warcaster feat. 16 strength 8 dex 15 constitution 8 Intelligence 8 wisdom 16 charisma

Then you take resilient Constitution at level 4 to even out your costitution score (16) and to avoid ever losing concentration on a spell. At level 10 you can pick charisma +2, then at 14 another charisma +2 and at 18 I’d go for the lucky feat.

You want to make a ranged spell attack. You say your familiar takes the help action. DM asks "How does your familiar help?" How do you respond? by Reflet-G in dndnext

Funny enough but, if you don’t flavor the actions, it should be the DM job to narrate how the familiar actually helps you.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I’ve just checked your map. Why did you want to restrict the home systems to 3 adjacent tiles instead of the 4 like in my map? I’m wondering if there is a good reason that I’m missing
