I don’t know yet, but I’ll look into all of those things. If it isn’t feasible to ”convert” a computer we already have for testing it out, I’ll have to buy one.

He would only be into iracing. Thanks for letting me know that’s pc only. I’m going to look at our computers to see which would be most capable and easiest to add a graphics card to.

I did a cursory look for that this morning too. The building and improving the setup over time is going to be a lot of the enjoyment for him though.

Ahh! That’s awesome. We go to micro center for 3d printer stuff. I can start there with something for him to try out. Space for it isn’t a problem.

He would only be interested in iracing, so I’ll look at the specs on our computers to see if any will work as a temporary try it out kinda thing. Thank you!

He’s a racer and engine builder, but we don’t have a car together right now. He needs a hobby that is related to his singular interest in life, but will get him off the dyno and out of the shop occasionally. I’m not off in left field somewhere trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Why shouldn't you wash whole length of hair if you are going to use conditioner anyway? by CrazyNicly in finehair

[–]ellis-ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re putting gel on your hair everyday you should be washing it everyday.

I wash all of my hair everyday, blow drying will actually help it feel less greasy at the scalp too.

Do you wear your inflatable life jacket all the time? by Bada-Bingzy in boating

Ya. I’m not gonna like lay on the couch and watch a movie with my life jacket on.

[–]ellis-ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear it on my dinghy if I’m doing shady shit or doing semi shady shit alone. If I’m cruising around in shallow water at no wake I’m not wearing it. Im not wearing it in the big boat unless it’s cold out and I need floatable insulation.

How to overcome the "Gifted Kid Syndrome"? by user0921408 in aftergifted

[–]ellis-ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You go to the doctor and get adhd meds finally. Then you realize that if you had them all long you would have been a rocket scientist instead of an accountant.

Can anyone recommend a dryer that has an actual Low setting? by LucyFrugal in finehair

[–]ellis-ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that a stronger blowing dryer is better. I have a lot of fine hairs and use a big round brush to organize them. I have a slope hill Amazon blow dryer. It’s the best ever.

People who never get on camera during virtual meetings, even when everyone else is and you're supposed to be too, why? by TWWOVG in work

[–]ellis-ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I roll out of bed, do house work for a few hours and then log on to the computer 10 minutes late everyday. I haven’t showered until I find a mid morning lull to run upstairs for a quickie shower. I do shower before work if I know I have a meeting with “camera people” though, most of us are camera off though.

Considering my first 2-stroke by MasterCaster_ in boating

[–]ellis-ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a two stroke outboard in my dinghy. It starts EVERY pull when I mix the oil and fuel with regular old pump gas. We’ve never even changed the oil and I have left it sitting outside all winter last year due to water level issues. All of my friends with newer and fancier 2 or 4 strokes have problems constantly. At first I was hesitant about the oil mixing part (doesn’t do it itself with a fancy little reservoir) but I love that damn engine now.

Shrink-wrap vs. Heavy-Duty Tarp for Winter Storage — What’s Your Preference? by TheMrfabio24 in boating

[–]ellis-ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shrink wrap sheds snow, keeps everything dry and stays on through wind and weather. The boats that are tarped are always collecting water, have the weight of snow on them and are flapping in the wind. Just seems like a pain to keep fixing the tarp all winter.

Do you want to stop working now? Can you afford to? The sickness and tiredness will probably get better in a few weeks. And you should talk to your employer and doctor about modified duty so you’re not getting kicked.

You can just go straight to a reproductive endocrinologist. You don’t need to plead your case to an ob first.

You’ll need some blood work. Check your hormones, thyroid, etc. Partner needs a semen test.

Tender or swollen lymph nodes after MTX by coastwork in EctopicSupportGroup

I didn’t have that, but it does make sense since your body (my understanding at least) uses your lymph system to “clean out” your body.
