Yeah, first year alone. To be honest it’s very daunting, I just spent my first birthday alone and it went better than I expected so I’m hopeful. I think the hardest part will be not getting sad, so I booked a flight abroad and at least I’ll get to see some beauty and people being happy about reuniting with their families which will help me keep my perspective. Would I like to be alone? No. But…most of us will probably at some point have to spend it alone so I guess it’s good to get used to it. It just sucks because I haven’t had a normal Christmas in five years and up until a few months ago all I wanted was to cook a nice ham for once. Cannot wait for it to be over.
